Kiwis have been insipid across the board.

Was genuinely hoping for much better from a so-called "World Class" bowling attack. Granted Southee is injured, and Neesham has bowled under duress, but when push comes to shove you go stump to stump, and they haven't been close.........too short, too full...........and the field placings have been goddawful.

Burns and Warner filled their boots today, but crikey this was swim between the flags stuff.

This is not just losing. We're being completely belted at the moment.

Of far greater concern is the injury to Starc who is set for a lengthy stint on the sidelines. Surely he is unlikely to be back in time for our series against India and New Zealand early in the new year.

The silver lining is that we're hosting the Windies over the summer. Would much rather him be unavailable for that than a series against a semi-competent test side. We could probably play our fourth string strike bowling attack and beat the Windies comfortably in a test.

Anyone going to bother with the Windies tour?
They did manage to get 3 wickets in the first session down in Hobart.

Complete and utter waste of time IMO.

The Windies are exciting to watch in the shorter forms of the game, but are complete and utter garbage in the test arena.

Unless we implode (not completely out of the question) we'll win this test and indeed this series in a canter.
