G'day fellow Saints posters,
I was thinking recently about how our beloved skipper has signed a two-year deal.
We might've heard how some were questioning how Roo could go with his demanding style of play, I even heard rumours he would retire at the end of the last few years gone by! Obviously...
I really wanted to applaud the amazing efforts of our skipper to this point in 2013.
I'm sure all of you are well aware of how good he's been through his career, and no matter how often he comes up against adversary he always seems to respond.
I've been thrilled with how hard he's worked to...
From all clubs, I'm offloading most of my stuff I've got signed over the years!
All at good prices, not going over the top.
I assure they're authentic and they were all obtained in person :)

Any requests from any club you might barrack for, let me...
Hey all, just seeing if anyone here would be interested in bidding on a few signed afl cards I put on ebay.
I have plenty of players, have been collecting all year and decided to sell a few!
Free postage and handling, you can find them at http://myworld.ebay.com.au/madsainter
all...
Will certainly be looking to start a good collection of signed afl cards, building on the few I already have.
Good place to start is th NAB cup.
Getting last years set in action by WCE/FRE/HAW at Subi Sunday week.
Two very fine young t20 cricketers, almost prototypes of the types of players we can expect to push through the ranks in the next decade. Players who focus predominantly on the shorter format of the game, and both who have exploded pictures across the nation with huge hitting, an aggressive...
At the nets today to see the Aussies bat, and there were a few concerns surrounding Michael Clarke. Came out complaining about his wrist, and was told he should see the physio.
Went in for another small hit before coming out after 10 minutes.
Thought it may have been just a niggle, but...
Not sure if any of you guys remember or still have the older 2001 shirts that were given out to memebrs in the wake of Blighty coaching.
I got one from my uncle today, a long time supporter who thought I'd appreciate it more.
It's the ones that ask us to join Blight on his journey, and is...
Cameron White has been overlooked as a candidate for a middle order spot in our test side for too long. Such a classy player who we often associate with being 'only good for the OD/t20 format', or reckless with his wicket. At 27, his time is coming to become apart of the test side, hopefully...
What songs do you guys reccomend to get you pumped for the 2010 GF? Love hearing some music to stir up emotion before the big game!
Maybe revive the hurt of last year, I'm sure the boys will be doing the same to spur them on this Saturday. :)
How good has he been so far this year? Even when we lose this guy breaks lines, runs hard, and controls the tempo better than anyone in the competition. I don't think any other player does all these things at once, so well.
Also frees up Goddard to the mid/fwd posistion without sacrificing him...
Explained in the blog, but basically, if guys continue to underperform after you decide to bring them in as an upgrade target, are they still at premium status? Coaches bring them in expecting a reverse in price drop, (assuming you upgrade rookies/MP to fallen guns) but is it the right call if...
Basically, its as simple as the title suggests. I think it has some serious relevance to the way this week and the weeks beyond it will pan out.

Note: I'm not 'bagging' anyone. I just think it has affected the game, and wether you think its a...
I made a similair(ish) topic on the saints board.
I was wondering which players you think need to take the next step in their football development next year to avoid delisting, being dropped, or being seen as an underachiever thus far. Which players do you sight as having breakout years?
I'd...
Predict which players just might have a big year, which young blokes look set to have the all important breakout season? Similair to alot of our squad in 2004.
Jack Steven will play some good footy if given game time, and Armitage IMO is set for a fantastic year playing off the bench, or even...
As in cricket, where Australia A used to play Australia in a match featuring the talent looking to break into the first side, I thought I'd draw on the idea of a match between the AA team, and a possible AAa team.
Hypothetically, say the 22 picked stands and the second sqaud is made up of 22...
Such a big name that has been coming up, and will continue to come up all week.
So so pivotal to the games outcome.
Bias aside (yeah, as if?), how do you think he'll play and why?
Howdo you see him impacting the game.
I can see him kicking 3-4 goals in a good display. Alot of the ball on the...
Will our defence be strong enough to hold up mass scoring from Geelong?
Will we able to rebound efficently and effectively through our defence like we've done all year?
Can our defence hold up Geelongs attacks?
How do you see Geelong trying to score/how they score?
I've got my own views on why I think other players deserve it more than him, but still love him. Good player, knows how to find the footy and goes hard.
How much would a signed card be worth after he wins it.
Its a clear signature he signed on a 2007 Select Champions range of himself.

An exert:
OUTSPOKEN Hawthorn president Jeff Kennett says he hopes his club can be the first to have a female footballer at AFL level.
In his latest post on hawthornfc.com.au, the Hawks president says he hopes his club...
Firstly may I say, I like Swan. I think he's a good player who knows how to find footy. I've been a supporter of him all year, but as he rose and rose to brownlow favourtism, my opinion began to change. Swan, a brownlow medalist? It doesn't seem to fit him. His job is to win clearances, not run...
Will be considered one of the most unlucky players ever. I'm not saying I think he should-in fact I've been swinging between how good he actually is. I've come to think he is a fantastic player, who knows where to find the footy, and disposes of it well. He's past 3 seasons have been magnificent...

At 2:36, you can clearly see a St Kilda flashing sign, and a ball etc. underneath it. I'm assuming its because Banner is in the movie, but I think its interesting considering its based in America.
Easily my most liked Bulldogs player. I'd put my odds on him for a brownlow chance.
I just love the way he plays his footy, and would love a chance to meet him in person.
Hopefully he is selected as an AA, if not-congratulations on a great season Ryan.
Watts has been, not neccecarily criticised, but been seen as to small [in size] to play AFL. Melbourne are obviously faced with a tough decision. If they continue to play him in a very depleted side, he loses valuable confidence, but gain experience. Its been suggested that he play out the year...
Due to the outrage towards Collingwood in that last thread, distinguishing them as 'pretenders' because they're winning games simply-In my opinion, it seems the 'pretender' label should be placed onto Carlton. Okay, pretty bold statement. Why though? They're in the top 8 sure, but any Football...
The upcoming game is huge, but all that aside. Just whos midfield looks to be in better nick half way through 09'.
As I am a Saints supporter and somewhat biast, however these are the respective midfields:
Geelong: Saint Kilda
Blake King/Gardiner
Selwood...
I had a top 50 list, but I find it to hard to construct one, I managed to, but its poorly done, and didn't add up.
So, here's my round 1-11 2009 AA side.
B: B.Goddard M.Scarlett J.Adcock
HB: A.Goodes S.Fisher J. Corey
C: L.Montagna C.Judd D.Swan
HF: S.Pendlebury...
