I agree. Many of the calls were absolutely terrible but West Coast were first to the ball way more often than St.Kilda which meant that they would get more free kicks than St.Kilda. 34-9 or whatever it ended at was still way too favourable toward West Coast.

No it doesn't. Umpires are instructed to give the frees which are there which may mean the Pies have infringed 22 times to the Saints 11 times. Last I heard there wasn't a rule which meant that free kick counts have to be equal each game.
