I have to agree. it was the worst i have seen buddy play this year. But he did try hard. And the delivery was non existant, so there is some sort of excuse. But well beaten by Sivangni.
Rubbish on point 1. You just dont like him cause his name is Chance!
Point 2....i would say Brown reguarlly has a crack at bigger stronger opponants, Lloyd, B Hall. And has beaten quite a few of them on the football side of things. Pretty sure he was AA playing as a tall Backman.
And his...
Another way to look at it is if Hodge played in Geelongs midfield he would be by far the best player in the comp. I am an Ablett fan but this year has been his least impressive of the last 4.
Ablett is NOT the most influential, the best or most valuable this year...which is what the thread is...
Yeah it is pretty hard to fit everyone in. And it is a prediction list of who i think will have a good year.
Corey could slot in to the bottom ten very easily, and i have prob just forgotten to put him in the unlucky list.
As for sylvia, could have a great year. has all the attributes-good...
It is a prediction list. He has had a shit pre season. I for one hope he gets plenty of game time and gets back to his best. If he does he is top25 material.
Full List-
50: Ryan O'keefe, Sydney.
49: Bryce Gibbs, Carlton.
48: Darren Jolly, Collingwood.
47: Nick Natanui, West Coast.
46: Daniel Rich, Brisbane.
45: Andrew Swallow, North Melb.
44: Sam Fisher, St Kilda.
43: Mark Lecras, West Coast.
42: Daniel Kerr, West Coast.
41: Patrick Dangerfield...
Yeah i think Lake will have a great year and will become THE premier KPB in the comp-if he isnt already. Its harder than people think to do a top 50!
I think chappy is a gun but wont be in the top 30 this year. has become slightly injury prone lately. Deledio would be a champion in a good...
I cant be arsed writing a comment for the rest....
30: S. Johnson, Geelong.
29: P. Ryder, Essendon.
28: D. Petrie, North.
27: M. Boyd, Western Bulldogs.
26: S. Pendlebury, Collingwood.
25: B. Deledio, Richmond.
24: K. Tippett, Adelaide.
23: J. Watson, Essendon.
22: S. Mitchell, Hawthorn.
21...
40: Shaun Higgens, Western Bulldogs.
A star in the making, perhaps already. Higgens has all the goods to become a top 10 player in the game. Great skills, awareness and an ability to find the goals.
39: Cyril Rioli, Hawthorn.
If OP doesn't strike him down for half the season, i believe this...
Maybe...yours looks much better too!! I have decided to do mine counting down. Will be interesting to compare at the end. Dont worry, i have mine written down already....:thumbsu:
I am bored out of my mind at home, so i thought id do a preseason top 50. This is based on how i think these players will perform this year. Here we go.....
50: Ryan O'keefe, Sydney.
A barometer for sydney and a versatile option for Roos. O'keefe has a massive engine and if the swans are to do...
This is the BEST 22 I HAVE enjoyed watching...not the best.
B: Ayers Langford Archer
HB: Hodge Kernahan C Brown
C: Buckley Voss Hird
HF: Ablett snr Carey Brereton
F: Dunstall Lockett Jarman
R: Cox Ricciuto Sewell
I: Kelly Franklin Crawford Platten
2008 GF v geelong- the best footy day of my life, 3 rows back on the wing southern stand. It all went to plan. Although i had a sinking feeling during that second quarter, i knew we were good things when cyril kicked that crumbing goal. Had hodge for norm smith too. Got home at 7 sunday night...
AG, icant beleive you have black in there. He is a great player but there is at least 50 before him.
Anyway, if i havent already posted in here....
Ablett snr, Carey- cant split them, watched all of careys career, but didnt see a lot of abletts early stuff.
Matthews- although i didnt see...
Agree, but bucks is a clear third on the list. Team success is te only thing holding him back.
A lot of hate for jono brown in here. He has been a gun for most of the decade and would prob be the best forward of the decade. Remember he plays mainly as CHF.
Hird
Voss
Buckley
Riccuito...
Fair enough. It is an opnion afterall. I still disagree with mcintosh tho. Fletcher is arguably up there with him. But Fletcher has benifited in the second half of his career in not always taking the best forward. Sheedy often played him as the second or third tall. Langford took the best...
Debatable if langford is above silvagni. but is on par with scarlett at least.
Mcintosh, Martyn and Pert-are you taking the piss. All good full backs but not in the same class as langford.
Langford was before his time. He ran off the full forward/CHF constantly and was as good in the air as...
Are you saying brereton was over rated. Bit harsh considering he was one of the greatest finals performers of all time. He had his downsides, i know, such as longevity and was a dirty bastard. But he copped plenty himself and intimidated the opposition.
If anything he drew the best defender away...
Is everyoe forgetting knights.
Langford
Knights
Matthews
Brereton
Dunstall
Cant see how any other club could beat that. Sub Hudson for dunstall, platten for matthews or mew for knights and u dont lose much.
Good effort.
Barry hall a bit high, 30-40 IMO.
Arguable wheather Darcy, Michael or wanganeen should even be there. Wanganeen retired at end of 04. Lade also too high.
I could make cases for Mitchell, Edwards and Goodwin.
Richo a bit low. I believe richo is very under rated. The only part of...
tredrea was not elite this year. maybe im being a little harsh on tredrea but imo he is just not in the same league as brown. he was a gun and deserves a spot on the bench prob, but not at browns expense. Brown has been extremelly stiff with AA selections.
Brown has to be in. could also find a spot for tredrea. No way is he better than brown. was only elite for 4 years . brown has been elite since at least 04.
Black in, happy with that.
Must find a spot for richo, as he is a better footballer than half the side!!
