I ****en hate some of supporters attitude at the games. They think we're unbeatable. But we're not all like that! We are as good a chance as anyone though.
He's been ordinary the last month or so. But he has stepped it up before. (6 goals in prelim last year to get us back in the game). But would love a few more goals from him for the rest of the year!
It's was a cheap shot no doubt. Get a couple of weeks for it. But you can't argue that we are faux tough guys. Do yourself a favour and rewatch the granny from last year. No faux tough guys that day mate. Just a lesson in how to play hard, tough skilful footy!
Thats such ****ing rubbish. Sure, we have the odd fool, but who doesnt. Every team has one eyed arrogant supporters. And some of ur mob are the worst...the hate goes in cycles. It will be carltons turn next week if they fall over against the pies.
Fair point, still floats thru there a bit. To be honest, mitch, sewell, hodge and lewis prob take nup 70-80% of the midfield time. sheils, rioli, burgoyne, whitecross etc make up the rest.
Not fair to be tainting us all with the same brush...as this thread clearly shows, we are not alone in the arrogance stakes (cats pies supporters equally as bad). But i can understand where a lot of u are coming from.
The hype (deserved or not) has been ridiculous thru no fault of our own i...
Really? u obviouslt dont remember his first couple of years then! For someone who hadnt played the game before, he instantly looked like a 50 gamer. His skills are in the top half of the league (if not higher) and he is reasonably tough. I think pick 25 is about right for him. If he hangs around...
Gotta disagree on the mids. Lewis finals series pushed him into just under A grade status. Tough and great skills. sewell Imo still has 2-3 years of good quality footy left. His finals series was OK. Burgoyne proved on Friday night he can still play at a high level. He wasnt awesome this year...
but if ur discussing the best players in the comp, one year doesnt cut it. Daisey has been awsome this year, after a very good 2010, with an awesome finals series.
If the thread said "daisey thomas is the best player in the league this season" then u might have a valid argument, but even then...
You serious. Hodge was the AA captain last year and the second best player in the comp as voted by his peers. Not to metion the most courageous player in the comp last year. Agreed he had a slow start due to no preseason but his last 6 weeks have been AA caliber. So i think he deserves to be in...
Nah Ablett is...
Then Judd, Buddy, Pendles,
He is on the next level with Bartel, Selwood, Hodge, Swan, Cloke, Murphy etc. He would prob be top 10 at this point. And if he does it for another couple years he may just be
Could not have said it better..... Is an absolute gun, but is not in the greatest ever conversation, yet. game is also so different these days makes it impossible to tell how a modern day player would go in the 70s or 80s.
On current form he is arguably in the best form in the comp (pendles...
LOL. Mitchell beats a quality tag 9 out of 10 games. He is an A grader easily. People are prob overrating Sewell and lewis on here, but mitchell is better than most inside mids in the league. Get a game in ANY midfield.
Mitchell has been THE best centre clearance player in the league for the last 6-7 years. would push montagna, dal and even goddard out to other positions. Sewell would get a spot on the bench, rioli and burgoyne flanks maybe?
LOL, wishful thinking i reckon. Should win our first 4 and if we are not 5-3 after 9 rounds ill be dissapointed. All winnable games as far as im concerned, and 4-4 at worst. (barring Buddy, Hodge, Mitch, Rioli etc all going down injured).
Funny how a few on BF rate the Hawks. Roughead has been...
