Forget about the armchair ride the Dogs received in the 2nd half? Umpiring was horrendous but it was a match of 2 halves for them Carlton in the first half then the Dogs in the 2nd.
I don't think any of them can beat Collingwood, Geelong or West Coast. Hawthorn maybe but unlikely. So semi final looks a possibility, any further than that highly unlikely.
After the result today I am almost 100% that WC will finish ahead of Carlton. Hawthorn probably have to beat Carlton to finish 3rd otherwise West Coast will get 3rd.
Adelaide Vs Essendon 4pts
Carlton Vs Collingwood 48pts
Richmond Vs Gold Coast 34pts
St Kilda Vs West Coast 55pts
Melbourne Vs Port Adelaide 15pts
Sydney Vs Fremantle 14pts
Brisbane Vs Geelong 74pts
North Melbourne Vs Western Bulldogs 36pts
Bye: Hawthorn
My final ladder prediction is -
1. Collingwood
2. Geelong
3. West Coast
4. Carlton
5. Hawthorn
I think West Coast can beat Geelong, even at the MCG. Naitanui has to have a huge game though for it to happen. I don't think Hawthorn will make it past week 2 of the finals at best and...
lol Carlton were demolished in their own backyard 2 weeks ago by a far superior team. Get some key forwards or at least a superstar midfield (2 guns isn't a midfield) and then maybe they can win a final.
It is Collingwood's to lose. I can't see the Hawks winning the flag with all their players out, Carlton also don't have good enough key position players. That leaves Geelong and West Coast to challenge the Pies. A Geelong West Coast qualifying or preliminary final will decide Collingwood's...
I don't think so. If a player is on 400k and gets offered 1 million they will accept. They may try and do what you say but GWS can just say take it or leave it.
I understand how people believe Geelong will just flick the switch but it usually doesn't work like that, especially against another top team. So what if Geelong is pissed off that they didn't beat Essendon, that doesn't mean that they will suddenly play good again.
West Coast will win and I wouldn't be suprised if it was a blowout. Last year when the Eagles won the spoon they were level at half time in this game and in Geelong in rd 22 I think they were leading at half time. Other than that one off game a few years ago where Ablett destroyed WC (no Ablett...
They played the first half against Carlton to see what Carlton could do then blew them away at the start of the 2nd half. Vs Hawthorn they did the opposite - just blew them away at the start of the game. Vs West Coast they knew they had to do it for the whole game or West Coast was a team...
West Coast v Geelong 45
Hawthorn v Brisbane 64
Gold Coast v Sydney 41
Essendon v Richmond 33
Collingwood v North Melbourne 94
Port Adelaide v St Kilda 17
Western Bulldogs v Carlton 55
