More info on Chris Naish

An inventive and clever forward in his days at Richmond, he earned a Big V guernsey. Originally from Wangaratta he came up in a talented batch of youngsters and as a junior earned All-Australian selection along with Wayne Carey, Robert Harvey and Jose Romero.

He did not miss a senior game at Richmond for three years up to the end of 1996, but had a mediocre last season playing only 12 games. Still it was a surprise that he was so easily released by the Tigers and Port regarded him as a great pick up.

He had a steady, if unremarkable, season for Port in 1998, but in 1999 he had persistent hamstring problems and only played a handful of games.
