Round 10: AFL Round 16
The Stingrays v The Cheetahs
The first match is a do-or-die clash for top four. The side that wins has the opportunity to still push for top four, while a loss while rule the side out of a top four finish. The Cheetahs will go in strong favourites, especially after knocking off the Stormers and will be looking for another scalp here.
The Ladyboys v Safety Bay Stormers
Match of the Round with 2nd playing 3rd. The winner is guaranteed a top four spot, and all but likely a top two spot. For the loser, they will be hoping they don't drop another game to ensure their top four spot is safe.
American Rednecks v Classy Gentlemen
Another do-or-die clash here with the loser likely to be removed from finals calculations. For Classy Gentlemen, their percentage is high enough they could still push for finals, but the Rednecks need to start racking up the wins.
Animals run wild v TRFC
Both sides were rated contenders at the start of the year, but injuries and form have crulled TRFC who are on their last chance here. Unfortunately for them they face a red hot ARW who defeated the Mozzie Bites a fortnight ago. Only bad luck or unbelievable scoring from TRFC will see ARW drop this one.
Mighty Panthers v The Repeaters
A crucial game for both sides with The Repeaters limping towards the finals. Hoping to gain Scott Pendlebury back this week, the Repeaters should be boosted a bit, but blew the chance to secure a finals spot last week, dropping the game to the Rednecks. A win here could see them rise to 7th and just have a bit of breathing space on their rivals. A win to the Panthers could see them knock The Repeaters out of the eight.
22 of the Best v The Lightning
22 of the Best will win here providing they submit their team because it appears The Lightning have thrown in the towel. The win will see them just outside the top eight, however a big win could see them sneak inside.
Mozzie Bites v South-Eastern Polar Bears
A huge game for the Polar Bears who need to win to keep their top four chances alive. Missing a host of stars, they still won last week and will be keen to do it again, albeit against the best in the business. For the Mozzie Bites, a win could mean securing a top two position.
