His "electronic graffiti" comment sounds like something a parody Tony Abbott would say. But the ACTUAL Tony Abbott said it.

Prime Minister Tony Abbott's surprise decision to knight Prince Philip has infuriated his colleagues, with a pair of Queensland MPs breaking ranks to criticise the decision publicly.

Several other MPs are also questioning the wisdom of Mr Abbott's chief of staff, Peta Credlin, in allowing the announcement to go ahead.

I'm sure Abbott is itching to give Johnny a knighthood. Howard, being ten times the politician would understand how unpopular that would be better than the tin eared twit we have in the Lodge.

The chairman of Australians for a Constitutional Monarchy David Flint told the ABC the Australian knighthood was an appropriate recognition for Prince Philip’s long relationship with Australia.

“He has been the consort to our Queen of Australia for so long, he’s stood beside her,” he said.

“He’s never been paid, there’s going to be no golden handshake or anything like that. It’s a job he’s done as a volunteer.”
