I don't think you've asked this question, Fat Pizza, but apologies if you have and I've somehow overlooked it.
Fitzroy won 15 premierships across all competitions - 8 league day, 2 league night, 3 reserves and 2 under-19s - in its 100-year VFL-AFL history.
How many different clubs did the Roys beat in winning those 15 flags?

Assuming you just want the teams we beat in the Grand Finals to win those Premierships, I'll say 10. The only club out of the other traditional 11 teams that played through the bulk of the VFL years was Melbourne & we probably should have beaten them in 1900 to complete the League's first 3peat.

Very close, Fat Pizza, it's actually all 11 of our opponents (excluding University) that formed the VFL before national expansion.
Not that I was at either game (my time machine wasn't working), but we should've beaten both Melbourne in 1900 and also Collingwood in 1903.
The 1982 Under-19s win over the Demons completes the set.
The Roys' premierships between 1897 and 1996 were:
Carlton: 1904 and 1916 league
Collingwood: 1905 and 1922 league, 1944 reserves
Essendon: 1898 league
Footscray: 1974 reserves
Geelong: 1989 reserves
Hawthorn: 1959 night
Melbourne: 1982 U19
North Melbourne: 1978 night
Richmond: 1944 league
South Melbourne: 1899 league, 1955 U19
St Kilda: 1913 league

Great stuff FitzroyPete. That was very egalitarian of the Roys to give all 11 of the traditional teams a chance to be Runners Up to the mighty Fitzroy. Old Geelong got a taste of it on Saturday in the VAFA as well. Go Roys!

I find that time machines are quite expensive to run, so I only travel in mine from time to time.

Indeed, Fat Pizza, we didn't pick on any one team in particular when it came to dishing out Grand Final defeats.
If my time machine still worked, I'd most like to attend the 1944, 1922 and 1913 Grand Finals.
With it only being 74 years ago, I'm sure there are still a few people alive who saw us win the 1944 flag.
I think all of the players that day have since passed on as we had an average age of 27y 8m (just four players were under 26.5y) compared to Richmond's 24y 5.5m

The youngest, Noel Jarvis, who was almost 20, left us when he just 50.
The second-youngest was Arthur Bryan (21y 4.5m) - his son Paul was a teammate of mine at the University of Canberra Wombats in the 1980s.
Obes Jr and I enjoyed a "few" nights on the drink - he was both a better footballer and better drinker than me.
P.S. Well done to the Reds on their premiership victory.

To be fair, Brisbane is a different club. Pretty much just took Fitzroy's superior Lions branding.
That's pretty much my perspective too - but it's things like that that will never win me over.

Plus the inconsistent messaging. For instance the Herald Sun today listed Brisbane/Fitzroy as having 11 combined premierships, but 6 pages earlier they listed the Brisbane Bears/Lions games record list and Fitzroy games didn't even get a look in.

It's strange, I don't think Brisbane should even have those Fitzroy premiership cups, either, give them to the Fitzroy Reds.
