I read about a 60m race that's meant to be taking place between Jonah Lomu & Linford Christie.

It may have been before yesterdays Oxford/Cambridge game but I didn't see it mentioned.

I just wondered who you all thought would win.

Linford was the former Olympic & World 100m champ form 1991/1992 & he was pretty old then so he must be about 40 odd now.

I go for Lin just.

Apparently Lomu was once timed running the 100 in 10.8 seconds. It is in the AB endurance tests (anything over 2 kms) that he always finishes dead last.

As a sprinter he is not Olympic quick, but considering how much muscle he has to carry around quite impressive.

Anyway the big question is Christie going to wear his lycra to impress the ladies?

Dunno about that but looking at the size of Lomu if everything is in ..err....proportion then Linford might well find himself upstaged if Jonah follows suit.

yea, I've heard stories that Jonah has been clocked around the 11sec mark for 100 metres, which wouldnt suprise me.

He might be 120kgs, but there isnt an ounce of fat there.
