Traded Josh Hunt To GWS

Graeme Allan was just interviewed on Trade Radio, quizzed on picks 1 & 2 and whether they would trade them, he said that something extraordinary would have to happen this late in the piece. However, he did let out that they went into this trade period with the specific aim of securing 5-6 mature bodied players for this season.

Said they have got three of them but are still after three more. When pressed by Barrett, he confirmed that Josh Hunt from the Cats will be one of them, not sure where the other two will come from though.

Why would GWS recruit Josh Hunt?

Is he there to lead by example? Hardly, he is a hack who will struggle to deserve a game.

Is he there to be a hard body and protect the youth? Hardly, he is soft as butter.

As someone who wants GWS to succeed, Hunt is no substitute for Sam Fisher. But whether he's soft or not, Hunt is a big, mature body who will start in the 22 and someone will have to take the next step to force him out. Not a terrible get IMO.
