Mickey Mouse Cup:

American Rednecks 288 defeated Mozzie Bites 250

Missing Franklin and McEvoy, the tournament and premiership favourites were bundled out by last week's lucky loser, as the Rednecks defied critics to post the second highest score of 288. Dale Thomas starred again scoring 75, while Bartel and McIntosh were impressive. Will Minson scored a whopping 85 to get the Mozzie Bites back in contention but it wasn't enough.

The Repeaters 299 defeated Animals run wild 224.5

The Repeaters posted the highest score for the second week in a row, overcoming ARW after a shaky start. Betts and Giansiracusa steadied the ship after Edwards and Ellis posted low scores. For ARW, Ablett dominated again with 83 points from the utility position.

The Stingrays 221 defeated The Ladyboys 210

The Ladyboys led the whole way, leading 204 to 143 but the last match decided it with Stingrays captain Nathan Fyfe pushing his team across the line with a 78 as captain compared to his opposing player, Alex Rance's 6. It was another upset win for the Stingrays and a rather strange match with neither side having a playing utility.

South-Eastern Polar Bears 238.5 defeated Safety Bay Stormers 209

The Polar Bears moved through to the final, knocking off a premiership contender in fine style. Redden scored 57, while Griffen 33, but it was the lack of players for the Stormers that proved their downfall. No Montagna or Shuey meant they lacked leadership and ultimately failed to get across the line.

Practice Matches:

The Lightning 226.5 defeated 22 of the Best 209

The Lightning posted their first win of the pre-season, knocking off 22 of the Best in a close one. Hodge, Dangerfield and Kerr were all impressive for the Lightning, who won despite missing Pavlich.

TRFC 245.5 defeated The Cheetahs 236.5

TRFC bounced back from a shock loss last week to knock off The Cheetahs in the match of the round. Ball, Green and Petterd did well, while for the Cheetahs, Swallow, Ellard and Sylvia posted good scores.

Classy Gentlemen 246 defeated Mighty Panthers 0

An easy win for the Gentlemen who were helped through Scotland's captaincy and Martin's 42 as utility.

Mickey Mouse Finals:

American Rednecks vs The Repeaters
The Stingrays vs South-Eastern Polar Bears

Now obviously only one team can be crowned champion so it will be out of the three teams who have won. If the Rednecks knock off the Repeaters, then the winner of the other match will be declared the champion. If the Repeaters win, then they and the other winner will compare overall pre-season scores to determine the winner.

Practice Matches:

Mozzie Bites vs Animals run wild
The Ladyboys vs Safety Bay Stormers
The Lightning vs TRFC
Classy Gentlemen vs The Cheetahs
22 of the Best vs Mighty Panthers

Current Pre-Season Total scores for possible winners:

The Repeaters 477.5
The Stingrays 345
South-Eastern Polar Bears 360.5

Possible Outcome 1 = American Rednecks win/The Stingrays win ~~~ Champion = Stingrays
Possible Outcome 2 = Rednecks/Polar Bears win ~~~ Champion = Polar Bears
Possible Outcome 3 = Repeaters/Stingrays win ~~~ Champion = Repeaters (if they score <132.5 Stingrays), Stingrays if they score more than 132.5 than The Repeaters
Possible Outcome 4 = Repeaters/Polar Bears win ~~~ Champion = Repeaters (if they scores <117 Polar Bears), Polar Bears if they score more than 117 than The Repeaters

Or in layman's terms, if the Rednecks win it's easy, and the Polar Bears/Stingrays will be hoping for that since there's a lot to catch up on. Very much a possibility after the good performance by the Rednecks in the second round.

Good start to the season. Hopefully get Goddard and Kelly back in for the final this week which should sure up a few of the positions. Happy with Coniglio's efforts in a substitute role for Milne also!
