Dont you need some kind of update or do you just get a 3d tv and thats it?

3d compatability was in a firmware update a few months back

assuming you have that all you need is a 3D TV

Just picked one up. Got uncharted 2 and God of War 3. Looking to trade in a bunch of 360 games for Killzone 2, resistance 2 and infamous.

Also,, I forgot to ask EB but should I get a warranty? PS3s are fairly reliable,yes?

Not a huge need to really. Most PS3's seem to fail after about 2 years (if at all), and thats when an extended warranty would expire

You can always go back and add an extended warranty by the 15th of January (if you bought it at EB, which it seems you did) if you really feel the need

You just need the receipt, show that to the sales rep and they'll add it on for you

First impressions are that the4 graphics are better, and was shocked to see UC, GOW 3 etc only running at 720
