If this is true and we have decided to take him with the no1 pick the club should announce it and put us out of our misery.

Of course Cooney is going to be taken with the first pick. I assume that you mean have the Dogs decided definitely not to trade that pick to another club? I doubt very much that they would be considering getting rid of that pick.
