With Tassie coming in, North and Hawthorn will leave their respectively decent and fairly-long term time in the Apple Isle.

(Then again, it wouldn't surprise me if there's some messy situation where the Hawks persist a bit with Launceston.)

So what's the future?

GWS clearly need the ACT because of the Easter Show shutdown of the Showgrounds and the general indifference of crowds in Sydney's west (they seemingly only play about one big club there a season). that's a lock and aside from that ugly big box at the right hand side, Manuka is a great looking little ground.

Not sure about Gold Coast sacrificing two games for the Territory. you'd think there's alternative options in Queensland to grow the game and they could be respectfully split (or mandated so by the AFL) with the Lions.

Brisbane themselves...who knows who is playing where. let's assume the Showgrounds won't unfortunately go ahead and they're at the Gabba.

Feel like the Ballarat Doggies experiment is just doomed to be eternally indifferent.

Going back to the Roos and Hawks, they'll also be needing about 10 games more combined in Melbourne. makes fixturing a bit harder.

Without introducing new stadiums, always thought a club could bank up Marvel games at the early and late rounds and make a show of the open roof. Hawthorn spring to mind.
