The West Coast Eagles Football Club shocked the world today as it unveiled the first ever genetically modified footballer. The experiments were conducted in secret in an underground laboratory by a team of highly trained scientists, and has resulted in what CEO Trevor Nisbett has described as 'the super-footballer.'

The genetically modified footballer was chosen through a Hungry Jacks competition, with youngster Mike Walker the lucky winner.

Rival clubs were outraged at the obvious flouting of the rules but when pressed AFL CEO Andrew Demetriou said 'I think it's good for football'

One thing remains to be seen, will this so called 'super-footballer' live up to his name and change the face of footy forever?

Mike Walker Re-Signs, but at what cost?

Superstar Him-bot Mike Walker has re-signed with the West Coast Eagles in a deal that is sure to create waves throughout the squad. The Eagles signed Mike Walker to what is believed to be a four year $700,000 per year deal, which many believe to be the most in the league.

The exorbitant contract offer looks certain to see many of the Eagles stars at new homes next year as they battle to stay under the salary cap. These names include Ashley Hansen, Chad Fletcher, Michael Braun, Jaymie Graham & Andrew McDougall.

With such big name departures it will be interesting to see just how much this effects the on-field performance of the Eagles and whether or not Walker can live up to his excessive contract and steer the Eagles to a third succesive premiership.

Mike Walker Re-Signs but on one condition

AFL superstar Mike Walker has re-signed with the Eagles for another four years. Walker put pen to a deal believed to be worth more than a million dollars a year, making him the highest paid player in the league. Walker was said to be stalling over the deal as he believed he has more to offer as a player than just kicking goals, and as a result looks likely to move to either the Ruck or possibly even defence next season.

AA forward pocket! What do you have to do!

I did one of these making S. Salopek pretty damn good, was lucky enough to score a cheap 3 year deal out of him for $200k and 2 seasons.
In 5 years finished 3rd, 3rd, 2nd, 2nd and finally won the Grand Final.
Salopek won the Brownlow in my 4th year and All-Australian selection years 4 and 5.

Might have to stop know though, asked for a contract worth over $900k....
