Sadly I have not seen a mention of the passing of the late, great Caroline Jones anywhere on the main board.
Caroline Jones was a torchbearer for every woman, (sportswoman or other) in this country.
She was a leading journalist, the original presenter of Australian Story and a ground breaking role model for her generation and generations of women to come.
Many of the women who won seats in lasts weeks election. Labor and Liberal, Green and Independant, acknowledged Jones as a mentor and a role model.
A woman who showed them that women could do anything at a time when society, politics and the media were dominated by men.
I am proud that both my daughters have benefitted from the path Caroline forged.
