I am hoping that we can play out 4 quarters of footy this time..
If we can do that we have a very good chance of a win.
And after Cameron's heroics against the Pies, it may pressure the Dees into paying too much attention to him, giving our other forwards and mids more opportunities to present...
This will be interesting.
We have had issues with consitency all year, not being able to string more than 2 good games in a row, and against the Dees we are coming off good efforts against Essendon and Collingwood.
And as Demons fans will remember fondly from last time, we struggle in the 4th...
The above article indicates Essendon are interested as well..
Maybe we could work out something for Bellchambers or Carlisle or Hocking, Howlett, or Hibberd?
I'm pretty confident we shouldn't bother going after another forward even if Gumbleton or Crameri are available.
I just saw this a few pages back and realise it's probably not the best place for this comment, but the Giants could conceivably be playing finals footy in the AFL in 2017/18 when we have a few extra players on our senior list..
I would keep Miles as well..
He has shown enough, he is a fierce competitor and is still improving as a player
I also expect Gilham and O Halpin to play on next season
I am expecting the Giants to come out pretty confident given our past games against Essendon..
You've beaten us, of course, but we've been able to hold our own against you for around 3 quarters.
And if it's a wet track that's going to definitely work in our favour - everyone knows Essendon...
Thanks for the list..
For those still unsigned, who do you think we should try to avoid trading / dumping?
Younger:
11 Taylor Adams - 2013 *
13 Sam Darley - 2013 *
22 Shaun Edwards - 2013
25 Anthony Miles - 2013 *
32 Gerald Ugle - 2013 *
41 Josh Growden - 2013
42 Mark Whiley - 2013
43 Kurt...
I am thinking the boys will run out with the confidence in that we've played well against Essendon before.
But at the same time we are going to have to think long and hard about who deserves a spot in the 22 this week after last week's performance..
All in all I am not expecting us to lose...
2 things.
This is something I've long suggested the AFL try to do in the NSW and QLD markets. Have weekends where you can get discounted (or free) entrance to the Giants and Suns games for sporting fans who have tickets for an a-league / NRL game that weekend..
Even going as far as to have it...
That's good news!
Obviously the more footy played there the better for the fans out there who may be a bit miffed the Giants don't play / train out there much..
