    Rules "Stand" Rule

    Horrible rule. Just go back to how it was. i.e. can move so long as you don't go over the mark. The umpires take too long to call play on and the penalty is too severe. The umpires have enough on their plates as it is. They don't need to loose their voices as well yelling "Stand!" all game

    We have now had a season of the stand rule. What's everyone else's opinion? Personally I hate it but perhaps that is because I'm a Tigers fan and it seems to have been instigated to stop us. I would like for us to go back to the previous rule/interpretation where players can move around and...

    How about a 10% Salary cap discount for salaries paid to players by the club that originally drafted them. Hypothetically: Sydney Stack is offered $500K by West Coast to entice him to move there. The full $500K comes of their salary cap. Richmond want to retain him and offer the same money...

    Totally agree with the opening post. Don't blow the whistle until it is clear there is no advantage. It's then play on until the whistle goes.
