Alger is a pure forward not a hybrid. Seth has mostly performed at half forward and is playing midfield because our mids are all injured.
Lalor is mostly an inside mid who will rest forward as he's a good mark. A hybrid is downplaying his midfield craft.
I think you're worrying about nothing...
Bruest was decent overhead but I think Alger has him covered there. Bruest was more lead up and turn his opponent inside out. Has similar craftiness at ground level.
I see way more Toby Greene in his game.
How many stress fractures/bone stress now? 4??
Shane Dunne said we have had all different injuries LOL. I can't recall seeing this injury at many other clubs this season.
Our club is rotting from the top with this clown and Serpell in charge.
The delusion from Port fans. Giving up 3 firsts and Cumming apparently.
We will take him for money with no picks given up and if not we will ruin your books for the future if you match. Either way, you're screwed.
As I've said from the start, I'm all in if this only is about a contract that can't be matched. If they match it and then we walk away then that is fine.
If it's matched and we have to trade picks (like 2-3 first rounders) for a guy in his prime when our rebuild is still ages off it, we're...
As much as I am onboard with HVH being a stud, a combo of Nick Madden + Arki Butler is likely a better result for us than HVH + a 2nd round mid. The gap between HVH and Madden is likely smaller than Butler to a 2nd rounder mid.
If we can get Madden for our 2nd round pick. He's out of contract...
Not sure he has the athletic or physical profile to make it beyond this season but I like that he has gone back to VFL level and dominated.
I would give him some games over someone like Tresize. Could not be any worse. Tresize has no upside.
Lots of putrid senior player efforts. Jogging around the contest. Competitive nature of the team has taken a step backwards from last year.
Usually that's a bad sign for a coach. We've known for a while his struggle tactically on gameday. The one saving grace he has had is the players like him...
Trainor is a 194 cm intercepting athletic flanker who does his best work loose in the Sicily/Luke Ryan prototype role. This is who he was a junior.
Trying to turn him into a key defender before he finds his feet at the level is poor development.
I'm not sure I agree with the philosophy of picking MSD picks that aren't high level to dominant at the lower level. Our MSD track record is poor due to this and time and time again these are the types most likely to step up to AFL level. I think Herbert is more likely to be a better AFL player...
