I doubt Burton just went "I'm leaving for Essendon" and that was it. You'd think his manager would go to the club and talk through it given he was already at the club. They would've already had a good look at him at training so would know if he's a can't lose prospect. I am just guessing... -

Wing is a quite demanding position at AFL level with all the defensive running they have to do. I'll be surprised see Grlj starting there initially from game 1. Retschko seems a good bet given we still lack wing options and his extra preseason. -

Getting his pedigree as a train on is quite rare. I didn't see much difference between his game and performance with Jack Dalton who Hawthorn traded up to get at pick 34. Dalton was a bit better in the champs but Burton plays faster on field. -
