    Excellent comment about McKenzie. Considering that recently the assistant coaches asked McKenna who he thought would kick the Gold Coast's first ever goal. He was quoted as saying Trent McKenzie. Implies not only best 22, but best 18. Hard to kick the first goal from the stands or the bench !

    I think it really depends how you see Petrie from the get go. For me, it's all about using him as reliable cover for when my main ruckman have their byes. I am unconcerned with his round 1 suspension and round 3 bye. He is not a cash cow in my eyes. He's best 21 and will play every game...

    My concern is if Petrie goes down there may be no decent cover available at a reasonable price in the rucks. And we know because of the byes that we need rock solid cover this season.
