ANZAC Medals
I see today the Sun has gotten together with the AFL and some others to retrospectively award ANZAC medals to the first 5 games (the medal only started in 2000 with Hirdy the inaugural winner). The first one has gone to Sav Rocca for 9 goals in the 95 draw and the rest will be revealed 1 day... -

Yes it is. I too am an AFL member with Essendon support and a fee same as a membership is sent to Essendon out of my membership. Then gives me all rights from Essendon as a member off the street. -

Hird coach = Bombers finals 2011
I think you've missed my point. I admit that Hird has heaps to learn and is why he will be surrounded by good people and mentored. The point I make is that based on what I've seen of him both on the field and off, he is certainly one to take a punt on as I believe he will be a great coach... -

Continued improvement for up and coming players like Hardingham, Colyer, Carlisle, Howlett, Melksham equals a better 'best' 22 - yes, but OTHER teams improve, too. Eveyone has "up and coming players", you do realise? You have to improve MORE than them. -Yeah, some do and some go backwards -... -

That's interesting, as I would say the same about Newman. I just think TFS works to gutter humour all the time and that's a direct result of Newman and him living in the gutter. Eg., how the hell could a dog bangin' a football win the Almost Footy Legends final??? But, respect your opinion. -

Slight side topic here, but I thought Before the Game slaughtered The Footy Show this year. Laughed most of the time at genuinely funny stuff, not the tardy gutter humour that's so prevalent on FS nowadays. Strauchnie was a pisser! What do others think? -

Rubbish. Weight that 800k against the lost memberships/sponsorships etc and they have saved us money. After the GROSS negligence shown by the predecessors in putting this dud in AND extending his contract, this board deserves a medal!- Words: 39

Which year hurts more? 2006 or 2010?
This year is worse for all the reasons already expressed but to me, mainly, because although 2006 was a bad year we were still led by someone who had proven again and again that he could rebuild the club (as he had already done several times). Now we're led by a dud who couldn't coach if he's... -

Not for us
Talking about locking the who's going to replace knights thread. Sure there was nothing "constructive" but there was some funny stuff there. Is there nowhere for a bit of humor around here if it's deriding knights? Must we be all serious all the time? Surely at the moment a bit of light... -

At the risk of being locked out by the pro-knights club, I'll post this for discussion (I hope). For 27 years I watched us as a stable club coaching wise. Are we destined to now be one of those clubs that hangs on desperately to a failing coach for 5 or 6 years to eventually sack him halfway...
