I would hope that our coaching staff would want our players racking up stats in some of those categories. It is an index, not the be all and end all, but if the coaches say don't tackle or get the ball then SC don't work -

true but you would expect more players increasing their output and only one or two heading in the other direction. Of the mids that started the game for us last weekend, only 2 have increased their output and the rest have lower averages. Like -

as I said it is an index and I think that one index quantifies quite well some of the issues in our midfield. so you never look at disposals or the number of goals our players kick? If you do then you are a hypocrite. QED -
