I think our list is in pretty good shape, with our midfield our obvious strength. Funny last year I thought like most people our defence was the major concern, but with Grimes looking like he will be a jet and Rance really improving this year (especially his kicking) it is our forward line... -

What we can learn from Essendon
Think what we can learn form the Dons is how they make the most of their Inside 50's. Every time it went in there they almost had a shot on goal. Obviously not having any key forward that is willing to lead and jump at the ball (not naming names ;)) dosen't help but Essendon's counter... -

Besides the obvious ones like Goddard and Cloke, two blokes I would be looking at are Moloney & Pearce from Port. -

Could we afford Goddard under the salary cap?
Would be obviously great the get him. But I don't think we "need" him, with having similar players like him (e.g. Deledio, Newman, Houli, Batchelor) who can all run off half back and have elite kicks. Would rather us have a crack at Cloke, because of how rare it is that a CHF of his calibre... -

Players to trade for...
Have no idea why we wouldn't have a crack for Travis Cloke. Obviously we may not be able to pay him $1 mill a year but to have a CHF like him, who actually competes at every contest and who can consistently have shots on goal from 60m out is what every club wants. It may be a long shot but... -

Popped in to training today. They did full ground stoppage work where Lade would find a spot to make a stoppage and then it turned into a match until it went out of bounds or a goal, behind etc. Usual suspects did well. Not happy at all Jackson got resigned. Don't win the FIGHT win the BALL mate! Too slow, poor decision maker, cost his team mates free kicks too often. Tuck I'm happy for him gives his all at every contest. -

For whoever heard that Kavanagh has a bad attitude. I played with him for a few years and was as professional as a junior could ever be in aspiring to be an AFL. Has elite endurance, good skills, seems to know how to find the ball. That extra of height of his helps really well with his overhead... -

Yeah I agree with you. Absolutely its important, you just have to look at the siza of the players at Geelong. Its just you'd be hoping our players are getting stronger when it is their full time job, so its something I don't get excited about. What I will get excited about is when our ball... -

Glad we are not getting him. Can understand all the reasons for getting him in the short term. But i don't know how him filling in a spot in the forward line will help in our development of trying a build a premiership team. -
