    Having explicit vice-captain(s) is a plus. I prefer a stricter hierarchy for the top roles but I can tolerate shared vice-captaincy if it means there isn't a full committee straight below the captain.

    Despite the fact that I am pedantic enough to insist that the umpire was in the wrong (eventually). I've always found it symbolic that Mitch Marsh's first game as captain had the team missing out on a wicket because they forgot to appeal.
