Proud, Passionate and Paid-Up in 2008 Thread!

Got my tin today :D Now I just need to decide what membership to get. Can anyone tell me the difference between general admission and standard seating? As in location wise? Standard seating has reserved seats doesn't it, so you have to sit in the one seat all the time? And general admission has...

Proud, Passionate and Paid-Up in 2008 Thread!

I'm going to wait a couple of months till I know if I'm going to be a student again next year or not. Otherwise I'll have to pay more for a full membership instead of my concession. Also I'm not sure if I'm going to upgrade or not. Is there much difference between General Admission and...

    Buddy and the Adulation

Anyone else find that funny? Seriously though, I think Buddy will be alright. That article sounds like rubbish to me. It's good that he's confident but it would be nice if the media stopped hyping him up so much every time he kicks a few.

Thoughts? A sub-forum that only Hawthorn fans can view?

Well it sounds great, except I don't meet the posting requirements. I've been here since March though and if you check my posting history you'll see I'm all Hawthorn. I'd like to get in for Rusty's training reports and the other inside info. If I'm not eligible though that's cool. I guess I...

Thoughts? A sub-forum that only Hawthorn fans can view?

I like the idea, though I probably wouldn't qualify. I'm a member so I could provide the number if that's the way you choose to go. I don't post much but I enjoy reading the reports and that sort of thing.

Will anyone be posting the votes tonight?

Sounds good Kipster. I don't have bigpond so I'd be interested in seeing some updates posted.

It's time to stop being bloody soft (fans) - Go to the Telstra Dome in 2008

The first Telstra Dome game I went to this year was our final against Adelaide. Obviously I loved that game and now I'm not really sure why I was avoiding going there. So yes, I'll be at all our home games in Melbourne next year, whether it's the G or the Dome.

    Votes For Kangas Game

Sewell, Campbell and Brown played well, that's it though. Pretty disappointing from everyone else. Every now and then we just seem to have a really bad game, disposals, efforts, everything by the majority of the team is just poor. We usually play all right again the next week, this time though...

    Tribunal

Yeah, he was standing behind Harvey and just brough his fist round and hit him in the mouth. He'll probably get one week. Crawf's was just silly, he was obviously frustrated at that point but there was no need, now he'll miss the first two games of next season. There was nothing else reportable...

What's the weather like down in Melbourne?

Haha something like that. They say in Melbourne the weather can change at any time... But no clouds and no wind = no rain. Anyway it was a beautiful afternoon, a bit of a shame the match wasn't on at 2:30 imo. I don't think it's going to be too cold either. So, as long as the lights are working...

Hawthorn asked to bid for Vodafone sponsorship

What do you mean a put together a package for vodafone? I thought the sponsor was supposed to pay the football club, isn't that what sponsering is? Why would we pay a company to advertise for them? I'm not trying to sound smart here, I really don't know much about this but it sounds kind of odd...

    If we win?

Re: If?? we win. Why? We're not the players we're the fans. Should I not bother booking my grand final tickets because we still have 2 matches to go? He said IF we win clearly in the thread title and then provided useful information. Thanks Shotta a twilight game next Saturday would be great.

    Does anyone believe this?

He would be talking about his leadership and the things that he has done off-field for the club. If Vanders wasn't there to take over the captaincy and lead our club in the way he did, we wouldn't be as good a team as we are now, at least that's what Mitchell thinks and I'm sure he knows more...

    Parking this Saturday

Thanks a lot. Lots of options then :) Crown sounds good because it's cheap and there will be plenty of parking there. I didn't think it was that close to the Telstra Dome but then again I don't know the city too well. I'm writing down those places now kimbopen, a lot of options is good...
