    Yes I do remember that. “Can you hear me Harry?” I think it was back in the early days of FM radio and a local Footscray community radio station started up and games were covered on the Saturday. I don’t think the range of the broadcast was too far.

    Thanks for that information. Being a lifelong Dogs supporter I am pre-programmed to a default position of “ the AFL is trying to screw us out of a home game”. I expected us to be drawn against either Crows or Port so getting Hawks threw me completely.

    Didn’t Doug Hawkins used to tell a story about Lally Bamblett that the club was trying to get the best out of Bamblett so asked Douggy to mentor him. Doug said he used to drive Lally to and from training each night but instead of taking him home he dropped him at McDonalds each night.

    This wasnt a 50 metre penalty paid or not paid but has any mention been made of the umpires decision to not pay advantage when Cam Rayner “took” the advantage and missed the goal only for the umpire to give the Lions another shot? A wrong decision for mine but has this been confirmed?
