Roast St Kilda in no mans land

I agree, however the president cannot put his head in the sand. He needs to lead from the front and understand why his business is not performing, and if that's hearing messages he doesn't like, too bad.

Roast St Kilda in no mans land

The sooner the Saints face reality and invest in an Internal Review the better for all. There’s been ongoing criticism of players in these forums, however the real criticism should be levelled at the top. Why is our game plan so negative, why has our midfield gone backwards, especially more so...

    Autopsy Round 16, 2024: St.Kilda v Port Adelaide

Why would LDU and Zurhaar want to move to the Saints, and why would Battle and Marshall?? want to stay.

Preview Round 13 2024 AFL Season: St.Kilda Saints v Gold Coast Suns, Saturday 8th of June 7:30pm, Marvel Stadium

Great article on the AFL site about the unheralded role of the wingman. They cover klms weekly without touching the ball and yet they are integral to a team’s structure, balance and defence.

Preview Round 13 2024 AFL Season: St.Kilda Saints v Gold Coast Suns, Saturday 8th of June 7:30pm, Marvel Stadium

I’m looking forward to seeing how Ben King has progressed this year because last year I commented that you couldn’t play the two King’s in the same team because neither was a power forwards. It appears Ben has worked on is game and is now producing the contesting forward role needed...

    Preview Likely retirees 2024

Seb covers the wing very well because he has the speed and endurance to play the defensive role. If the opposition are looking to switch he has it covered so they either go down the opposite wing or attempt to go through the middle.

    Preview Likely retirees 2024

If the Saints make a decision on Seb Roos don’t be surprised if he’s not picked up by another premier Melb club.

I would include Ross because he defends between backline to wing which allows our ball carriers from half back to be offensive. If Crouch comes in I would expect Sinclair to return to half back. If King plays then maybe Bonner is omitted.

    Autopsy Round 11, 2024: Melbourne v St.Kilda

Why did we lose? Game plan is too defensive and given the 6+6+6 rule this is more difficult. We need a ruckman who can win or negate the opposition ruckman at stoppages. Free up the mids at stoppages rather than trying to negate the opposition mids. Don’t play so many ball users/carriers in...

    Autopsy Round 9, 2024: Hawthorn v St.Kilda

Too many in our forums are identifying individuals as our faults. I see our faults as: 1) Our game plan is too defensive and difficult for players to be creative and attacking. 2) Marshall is not a tap ruckman and continually grabs the ball and kicks it forward indiscriminately to no-one...

    Game Day Round 9, 2024: Hawthorn v St.Kilda - UTAS Stadium, Launceston - Saturday 11th May, 1.45pm AEST

This will be a dour game as our mids are playing very defensive to negate Meek’s impact with their mids. We cannot afford to let their mids takeover.

    Autopsy Round 8, 2024: St.Kilda v North Melbourne

You cannot rely on only 4 mids week in and out, and conclusion of Clark and Dow going forward will share the workload and responsibility needed.

    Autopsy Round 8, 2024: St.Kilda v North Melbourne

Steele, Ross and Windhager are being used as tags and this means they are reactive at stoppages as they need to watch their opponent. It’s difficult to be proactive when your primary role is to tag. The inclusion of Sinclair means he can now be the proactive midfielder supported by Steele, Ross...
