A few changes to my last world cup team, with Finch, Carey & Agar out of my first XI.

Warner back in will make a huge difference, 43...
1. England - are red hot favourites, pretty much have all bases covered. Best batting lineup in the tournament. Root will be the key in the knockout games i feel. The only weakness i see is possibly there fast bowlers, i don't see a quick who other teams will fear.
2. New Zealand/ South Africa-...
I think the majority of the time Murali's bowling was within the rules....my doubts on him come when he was tired after a long spell & tried bowling a big effort ball or a doosra. His action looked different at times of a game.
Not sure how many overs Murali bowled with that brace on?
Anyway...
This team definitely needs another bowler imo....could see this lineup giving up way too many runs. Feels short of another strike bowler....Starc would have to bowl out of his skin.
Batting lineup obviously looks strong but would keep Finch as an opener as i don't think he's done much wrong...

I've gone for batting depth here, a team able to chase 300+. I really wanted to put Lynn at number 3 but not sure who to drop...
After seeing the squad i'm happy for Bancroft to get a spot as he's demanded selection by piling on the runs and i think he'll be a perfect partner for Warner up top.
Tim Paine whilst surprised he got selected i don't mind it as i'm glad we haven't gone back to Wade or Nevill who just aren't up...
I don't mind that side either actually but i just think they'll want an extra bowling option. Relying on Head & Maxwell for 10 overs could be risky, not saying Henriques or Stoinis are that good either but at least there's another option if things go pear shaped.
If Henriques or Stoinis plays...
Bit of a shame we couldn't get another hitout before the tournament starts.
With Finch in good form it looks like he'll get the opening spot with Warner.
I'd like to see Lynn in the side but i'm not sure where he fits in now because i think they'll go Smith, Head & Maxwell in the middle order...
Well i'm pretty sure it is going to be a close call.
Starc & Hazlewood will open the bowling and fair enough too being a world cup winning opening pair.
I also think it's important to have a frontline spinner in the team so Zampa plays.
So for mine it's between Cummins, Hastings & Pattinson for...
I'd go with.

The hardest choice for me was picking out of Cummins & Hastings for the number 8 spot.
Can't go wrong either way both players are quality.
While Lynn & Stoinis are still a little...
