Rioli or Rich? Which would you take?

Or perhaps Brisbane folk haven't seen enough of Rioli and are therefore underrating him in comparison to Rich. The poll is close because the talent between both these kids is that close. I think you would find most neutral supporters would agree.

Rioli or Rich? Which would you take?

It is a speculative poll, the question is who would you take? Lets assume for the rest of thier career. Since we are speculating, what if Rich doesn't continue to develop? What if in his second season he begins to cop a heavier tag and is unable to deal with it? Personally I don't think Rich has...

Rioli or Rich? Which would you take?

Rioli marginally. Both incredible young talents, Rioli has more upside for mine so he is my choice. At the moment it is even, Rich because of his dynamite left boot (a reminder for recruiters to pick footballers rather than athletes) and his contribution to the Lions midfield in his first...

An Injury FREE fully fit Hawthorn team

Haha, how are we still arguing over Hawthorns 2009 season and the injury excuse? 2009 is dead and buried, Hawthorn have a lot to prove in 2010, lets see how it pans out.

    The Shoe Train

We are in danger of seriously expecting too much of this kid next season. I know 2009 was hard and we are all excited about possibly unearthing new stars to help us climb back up the ladder. In reality, we should be focussed on Roughead, Franklin and Rioli for mine, these blokes especially the...

    The Pumpa has lost it.

Good post. Another problem with the off-season, blokes spend too much time reading up on juniors and attaching actual AFL standards to names such as Vardy, Trengove, Gawn etc. Remember none of the blokes picked yesterday have proven themselves at AFL level, we (as in BigFooty, the casual...

    mitch thorp????

There is no 'might' about it, Thorp knows far too well how good he is/was. I know players both at Hawthorn, and people who either played with him at school level or played against him and the one thing commonly repeated is the bloke is pretty happy with his ability. There is nothing wrong...

Vintage crop of 2005. All graduated to the big-time ….

Birchall is far from replaceable considering the state of our backline this year. He has had a down year, but so have about 80 percent of his team mates. It has been flogged to death on here, but he has been played out of position. Why he cannot play overhead is a mystery as he is tall enough...

Nathan Brown Officially gone from Richmond

Doesn't matter. At the end of the day, football is a professional career for these blokes, you can't honestly say you wouldnt take a different job doing the same thing for more money can you? Yeah there is such a thing as loyalty, and it is to be commended. But we are quick to brush over the...

    Unleash the truth ....

Re: unleash the truth Lock it up mate. So we have a few under achieving blokes on our list, no one knew that already.

Umpiring, bad decisions and poor kicking for goal really dont help ....

Re: Umpiring, bad decisions and sh*t goalkicking really dont help Skills and decision making. Two fundementals to be playing good footy. We consistently lack both of these assets across the board. AFL is always subject to games here and there where umpires will stick thier nose in too much...

    VENT THREAD vs Adelaide

Has he even had a very good season? Pretty sure we overrate Hodge on here a bit, he has been average to serviceable at best this season, like many others. Big, uninterrupted pre-season is in order, as it is for the majority of the team.

    Birchall

Has had a fairly ordinary year. Appears to be a confidence player (who isn't?), who has been a bit down since returning from a broken thumb (?) earlier in the year. He is at his best when Croad and Gilham are both in the side, frees up him up and he is a great link up target alongside Guerra...

    Jarryd Roughead

I didn't see it, but was it worse than Dane Swan on the Footy Show a few weeks back? Deads***.

    Alwyn Davey

Eh it did look a little odd, but I would be surprised if anything came of it. It looked like Davey tried to shepherd Maxwell's run at the ball but fell/slipped so he ended up taking out Maxwell's legs. Could've ended badly, but I doubt it was intentional either.
