Surely just a random PI/retail from 2023 (or hell, this year given red logo'd kits were all we could get for a time). Stripe width changes based on how much the material has to stretch in cutting it for smaller players, eg. Jamie Elliot/Bobby Hill
This. Only way I can think through it is to help sell it to the club losing their player and let them go more easily, but if they're a free agent the club can do stuff all anyway and the player is completely in their right.
Not sure why they're being compensated on value defeats the whole...
It quite literally was as part of inclusion into the VFL from VFA - the rich clubs needed a solid club that captured the geographic inner SE/bayside area of Melbourne and St Kilda fit the bill without pissing Sth Melbourne off too much
Apologies you're right, meant innumerable.
I should reiterate my first response where I do agree revising the discount clubs get for the F/S selection as the main benefit should be to be able to bid on the player if they are selected. Personally I believe the value of that connection does give...
Again, your terms are not aligned with each other. Fairness is not about getting the same outcome.
The processes that contribute to creating F/S selections are so innumerate and intangible that is it effectively governed by randomness. If something is non-biased (that is having no weight...
Frankly, that is nobody's issues except for St Kilda. Even the list you produce there bares little correlation to that fact. Melbourne don't strike me as the pinnacle of success in any period after the 60s despite the odd GF here and there, and yet there they are at the top of the board.
Again...
And that's why I'm saying that way of looking at it is wrong because there is no way to manipulate the conditions that exist to create F/S selections*. Players just play their careers > reach 100 games for a club > have kids at some point > hopefully get out 1-2 males > try and get them to be...
What would inevitably happen if F/S system is neutered out of existence:
1. Gun player drafted by one of GC/North/Stk/another club with recent history of poor list management
2. Play out their rookie contract, finishing no higher than 12th while playing for the team
3. Request trade to their...
Semantically, something cannot be unfair if it's random. Randomness is fair because it has no bias - it is random. Sure the results can be unevenly distributed, but unfairness implies the dice have been weighted - they haven't. Even club bar GC/GWS has had access to the randomness of F/S...
Yes sometimes.

EDIT: Re-reading these threads admittedly the best we get is a mixed reaction. There are issues with all logos but the...
Because Geelong wanted to make a quick power move against the AFL not letting them play at Sardine Oval by wearing navy shorts for the first time against the Pies in almost 20 years? Lol
Was an agreement between Eddie and Costa allegedly in the early 2000s. You really didn't notice that every...
Might get a little bougee and buy myself a bottle of water :sob:
EDIT: Wtf just coming to terms with the sobering reality that water is $3.40 at the G what does the State Govt. + MCC GF deal actually pay for
Oh... we've hit "graphic design is my passion" tier. Struggle to see how this logo can fit alongside a wordmark.
Would love to hear more lol or any links to a thread
EDIT: If this is the proper orientation/skew then its a little better, but real Nike Swooping Magpie vibes trying to ride off an...
A fair bit on the line for both sides in regard to recent GF records, hard to say snagging just this one will put this completely to bed - but it'll certainly help.
I think in the case of this matchup there's not enough of a clash to outweigh the value of both teams being able to win in their preferred kit.
IMO this wasn't the case in 2017, but the AFL have gotten it wrong sometimes particularly 2019 GWS should have never been in their clash.
