Whilst we worry about Brady overpaying for Houston who won’t even nominate us. Brady quietly preparing a Caleb Daniel second rounder deal.
We thought we were playing chess, meanwhile Brady is playing mahjong.
Have heard Richmond have locked into Lalor at 1.
Expectation in player manager circles that the top 4 is basically locked to:
1. Richmond - Lalor
2. NMFC - Fos
3. WC - Jagga
4. Adelaide - Draper
Why are you laughing? Do you expect North to not pay overs in the unlikely scenario he selects us?
A top 4 pick (F1 or Pick 2) is essentially 2 (late) firsts.
Someone needs to remind them that all the people expecting to nominate North are outside of their own best 22s! Quit the gaslighting 🤣
Sell me that s*** when Finn Callaghan nominates North
The majority of our improvement in 2025 should largely be off the back of game plan & fitness improvements.
I'd argue both are worst in the competition.
The fact that Port really want us involved probably tells you everything you need to know. We should only ever deal with that club when we have total leverage of the scenario. Pretty much the complete opposite of the Houston situation.
Don't say you weren't all told. We are just a pawn in this one.
Gotta say, it's pretty hilarious the different negotiation styles.
Carlton: Houston speaking to Carlton regularly. Not picking up the phone to Port. Not trading Pick 11.
North: Houston hardly spoken to North. North are offering F1.
F1 = Pick 2 from where I sit.
I don’t need to dig up posts involving F1, despite there being plenty. The fact the club is apparently offering it + the fact we always overpay is enough for me to condemn it.
Seperate issue though. I’m not here posting that we should use a late first on ruckman.
I’m here posting that writing a young ruckman off so early is dumb. Xerri (who most had in the delist bucket) a pretty good case in point.
As I always say, people can take it or leave it.
Ironically, the bolded italic is exactly what I’ve heard from multiple different people that isn’t taking place. In fact it’s a reason why someone involved in our program has parted ways with the club already this off-season. Interestingly...
