Straight swap Jy for Oliver. Both on long term big money contracts. Both questionable to complete the term of the contracts for different reasons. Same age bracket. Both coming off lower than average years. Dees happy as Jy would be seen as character upgrade and thus should appease Trac. LDU...
Not a touch premature listing Archer and Comben? Like surely they would need to prove themselves over more than a third of a season? If we develop talent so well then why are we not more competitive? Is it match day coaching?
I would be all in on Oliver. Contested ball and clearance is what typically wins premierships. What he would do for LDU, Wardlaw and Powell would be game changing. It would free Harry and Coby to cause damage on the outside.
sorry but I don’t understand the angst over the lions getting the Ashcrofts through father son. It’s not the AFL’s fault our ex players can only produce the calibre of Joel Crocker and cooper. Jackson seems to be going ok. Father sons should play for their dad’s team.
Meh when we played Carlton last time we probably should have beaten them. To say picking us over the blues is crazy seems an exaggeration. Could we quite possibly beat them when we play next Good Friday? Absolutely. Those last 2 rounds have left such a bad vibe in our minds but the blues are...
Geez imagine if all 3 of those were half decent options at small forward. It’s been such a shame we haven’t been able to develop them into that. It’s prob one of those positions you either have that skill set or your don’t.

All this angst but I am not even sure Jack gets a game
Zane Comben bull
Curtis Larkey (small)
Won’t be the second ruck option.
As an older head who sets standards and effectively replaces greenwood I can live with.
When my mum and uncles migrated here from Italy in the 50s they settled in Oshanassy Street, North Melbourne. They used to sneak in to the games at 3/4 time. they have now indoctrinated 2 more generations including me and my kids.
Unfortunately for this offseason at least I can’t see us attracting anyone with great value. It’s why Darling might be the best we can do. It’s not a great reality but it is what it is. Potentially a few delisted players might be upgrades so we should still look at all options.
I still can’t understand the thought process of the posters defending our trading and drafting on this board. We have been dreadful on almost every metric for circa 5 seasons. That means 15% of the AFL area we have been uncompetitive. I reckon it’s fair to criticise. I am optimistic for the...
