I mentioned Borlase earlier as a good, but just wanted to highlight how strong his game was.
13 disposals, 6 marks (2 contested, 2 I50), 8 score involvements, 1.1, 4 tackles and even a clearance! Hit that first marking contest like a key forward that’s played there for a decade.
That’s a...
Ok. So I wonder whether the theory stands in terms of sub coming from bench - when it is extended bench. Ie. Do the 3 emergencies and sub co from the 8 on the bench?
If so, I am suprised (and disappointed) to see 2E NOT on the bench.
First time we have seen Dempsey named on the bench for a...

wtf.
Luke Shuey in 2018 won a norm smith and is better then any mid we have now.
Yeo was an AA and BnF winner by the time he won a flag
Bontempelli AA and BnF in 2016. Won’t bother listing the disposal numbers of Macrae and Libba
Why isn’t Blicavs on your cats list? Mitch Duncan!?!
I’m not denying we’ve had success in the latter parts of the draft. But over 18 years you would expect us to have had some hits. You can just as easily make a list of players that have been picked in the first 2 rounds (Hawkins, Selwood, CGuthrie, Duncan) or brought in via trades (Danger...
Decent players, but since 2007 is a very large sample size, so you'd expect to see hits. Some did play in flags or were fine players for a while, but also not a lot of absolute premium players there who you could build a club around. We did well with them because (a) we were able to trade in...
...draft instead:
- James Podsiadly, Jack Henry, Zach Guthrie, Tom Atkins & Bradley Close
And who cares if they have no AFL background:
- MarkBlicavs & Mark O'Connor
The above are just a selection of the picks we've had since 2007 who've gone on to play in a Geelong premiership or played...
True j.henry aint great as a foward. But he provides more of a marking contest then neale, hawkins, o.henry and cameron right now. We needs someone else up there to contest the aerial ball along with rohan. Maybe dekonning could play that role instead.
Youve got to be kidding
That overhead mark he took in the last qtr , that was highly impressive , and youd swear he had been playing Australian rules for the last 10 years , plus hes quick , very quick , i think there is a lot of upside in Mulin , so you keep playing him
You only have to...
...made his way as a vfl player first, touhy o Connor and mullin all from the mull of kintyre. Tyson stengle was a gamble that’s paid off, markBlicavs was originally a steeplechaser, Olympic style not grand annual. This has been superb work by the recruiters.
But in my opinion, it’s nailing...
A strange thing to say? The poster asked how many coaches votes as they didn't have the stats on hand. I provided the request with no interpretations or conclusions. I wasn't rubbishing those players at all. Perhaps that other poster was, you'd have to ask them.
Richmond's youth have showed...
I was agreeing with you until you had Henry going to play forward in replacement of Neale
If you haven’t said let’s move Henry out of the Backline due to the amount of goals he has conceded in the past 8 weeks I would’ve agreed.
Agree Blicavs no good these days as a midfielder, but Jack Henry up forward is not a good idea. He is ok as a medium backman. He has straight line speed but is not agile enough for a forward role.
We need to stop playing blicavs in the midfield. Second ruck yes but he has added nothing in the midfield this year. Looked much better with more ball winners in there like bowes and holmes spending more minutes. Perhaps he should spend more time in defence when not rucking and jack henry can...
Plus you have Toby Conway in the ruck. Conway and Neale should convince Geelong not to chase for Lobb.
Edit. You guys also have Sam De Koning, Tom Stewart and MarkBlicavs. You're well stocked for talls.
Unless we're leaving one of Hawkins or Cameron home next week, think it's safe to say that Neale is a likely out as we'll return to using Blicavs as the #2 ruck
Give Ollie Henry a week off as well, because that'll give him an extended break with the bye the following week
Those two changes...

...team. He was promised AA selection by merely playing for Geelong, almost 300 games later, and having seen spuds like Cam Guthrie, and MarkBlicavs wtf their way into the AA team, Mr Duncan is fuming apparently.
But why are you so desperate to divert the conversation away from Richmond's...
...through the traditional pathway a chance to carve out a career without taking up salary cap and list spots from clubs.
Jack Buckley, MarkBlicavs, Ivan Soldo, Alex Keath, Callum Brown, Mason Cox, Hugh Greenwood etc etc etc have all been worthwhile selections no? Most, if not all of those...
A couple of comments
1.Too late, you got me excited as soon as you mentioned the word 'enormous'. It's my unsafe word.
2. If Geelong's hoops accentuate their already massive chest spans, we should counter them by wearing the old Swans' Where's Wally jumper. With 36 enormous guys squeezed into...
