I don't know if this has been posted elsewhere, but I couldn't see it anywhere.

On the AFL website they have a brief player by player 2010 assessment by Adrian Fletcher. It is a pretty interesting read.

I agree with almost all of the assessments. Although I thought a few comments were a little strange:

- re Buchannan "and brings a lot to the table as a small forward and midfielder" - I think Buchannan tries hard, which is great, but I just don't think he is good enough to be considered a top-22 player anymore.

- Collier "Only played a handful of games but he’s developing all the time. We’ve been happy with his improvement. He’s a half-back who we think can play on smalls or talls." This one is the biggest surprise. Collier does have some potential, but he really hasn't shown enough and has not really improved in my book.

- Patfull "He played a number of positions through the season but we have to figure out his best one. He didn’t look out of place in the midfield and did a good job on Travis Boak of Port Adelaide in a run-with role." I think Patfull did look distinctly out of place a lot of the time in the midfield. That is not to say he was always poor, but it seemed like a move that was detrimental to the team and to Patfull.

I am sure others here will have a few other issues with some of the assessments.
