In a season like no other in recent times Richmond look poised to do the unthinkable and press for a finals berth after a 3-10 start.
Early in the piece the Richmond faithful nearly turned Punt Road upside down looking for answers but in the last month the coaching staff and players have found them. Going on a winning streak that resembled last year’s form the Tigers look set to continue that on this weekend with a win over GWS.
Greater Western Sydney however have put the Tigers close to the sword in recent times and have looked very dangerous this season. Like Melbourne on occasions they have been right in it to push up their wins tally but been unable to take the points. A season pretty much without out of form forward Jeremy Cameron young gun Jonathan Patton has stepped up to give the Giants fans something to scream about.
With the Tigers without Ty Vickery due to suspension and the retirement of barometer Jake King the Tigers set up still looks dangerous. In a rare patch of form and with the knowledge that they cannot afford to drop one I feel they will have enough in the tank to push the young men in orange too hard.
Greater Western Sydney will be playing for pride and will see the Tigers as a opportunity to land another win late in season 2014.
My tip however, Richmond by 40.
