Why the heck would we do that? Lucky to be on a VFL list.

Keilty is a surprising but good shout. I doubt we'll go Mirra, too small to be a KPD but not quick enough to be a small defender.

Ozgur uysal is a very similar footballer to
Michael Evans who played at melbourne. Has solid vfl games where he gets plenty of the footy and loves the hard stuff with tackles and contested footy but also has a few quiet games along the way.

As was Tom Fields really, however they are a touch raw unless Essendon can see some future for them (unlikely). Would be better off putting games into their own youngsters/rookies and adding hardened/mature bodies for support IMO.

Same thing applies that always applies for mine. If they are ready to play and it does not hinder their development then you play the young blokes
but you do not play them for the sake of playing them. You can do just as much damage playing them too much.

Depends what view the team take to this season.

If it is a season for development of youngsters, I'd rather give Parish/Merrett/Laverde the role to run with guys like Ablett, Pendlebury, etc so they can learn from them.

Also, I don't see Crowley as much of a leader. I could be wrong, but doesn't give a strong leadership vibe, which is something we should be looking for in mature aged top ups.

Finally, he just served a suspension for performance enhancing drug use. Given that's the exact reason we find ourselves in this situation, I'd say it would be fairly undesirable from a marketing perspective to have him at the club.

Making good of a very bad situation there are some positives
