Way back in 2012, Knightmare had this to say about prospective Collingwood father-son pick James Stewart.
"Just depends on whether another club bid on Stewart before our first selection. Will depend on those compensation selections and our eventual ladder positioning. Unless we finish outside of the top 8 the most likely outcomes is that we will be using a 1st round selection on Stewart - which I don't have a problem with."

As it was, Collingwood declined make a father-son bid, and GWS got him with our pick 27.
He has been one of our excellent pickups of undervalued players - players that any club could have got for next to nothing, like Tim Mohr, Jonathon Giles, Adam Kenndy and Sam Frost.
He turned the first half of the Dogs game into the James Stewart show, and Im really glad he's on our list.
Thanks, Collingwood. Maybe this Father-Son bidding thing has advantages for the league as a whole.
