Noticed while making the new opening post index (check it out!) that I have more on Youtube that I'd never thought to post here.

So here's some :
My favourite ever match - Rd 18, 1989 (most of the Big League replay of the 3rd quarter)

Sports Tonight TV Spot on Fitzroy heading into 1994 season

Fitzroy v Essendon MCG 1992 Rd 2 - Tim Watson's last game "more like an eviction"

"I'd Like To See That" Segment on the 1986 EF Conlan Goal

I also have the full matches of the 1996 win over Freo, and the win over Adelaide in Rd 4 1992.
Will get around to posting these later.
A couple of gems there. That 96 triumph over Freo is a fave of mine.

How good are the stats!

Roys K 173, HB 24, M 40
Ess K 147, HB 19, M 37

Still 37 to 25 shots on goal. Direct, fast. Enjoyable? Compared to current day, absolutely.

Some classic goals there too from Superboot and Mick Conlan. That two pronged big forward setup really was the hallmark of the team - kick it to Bernie or Sidey......

Awesome stuff Ripper, thanks.

Royboys smack the Blues at Princes Park in '83...

Living up to name again good Sir.

Absolutely brilliant video to watch! Is there any truth to the myth that Micky Conlan gave a thirty-five metre handball? The camera cut away at the most inconvenient time. I could imagine the players dining out on that commentary for the ages.

The only time Mick ever handballed, was when he was going around someone and there was a chance he could get it back to himself again.

Hey Royboys.

I have salvaged some of my old VHS tapes. They have endured multiple moves and a couple of floods.

It's not a Fitzroy win obviously as I only keep our wins, but I have the Carlton v Fitzroy game Rd 11, 1988. The quality is ordinary but watchable. I've done the DVD conversion and saved to PowerDirector. I hope to have it up on youtube if it lets me upload the whole thing.

Anybody interested, just because there is not many of these around anymore?

Leon Harris, Mick Conlan, Matt Armstrong and Paul Roos had good games. Ross Lyon, Gary Pert, Alastair Lynch, John Blakey all playing.

Definitely interested ODN. Any old footage is always welcomed. Please sing out when you upload the footage.

Tried to upload in one go as I have uploaded 90 minute podcasts with no problem before. Youtube does not like it at all. Will have to break it up into 4 or 8 pieces. I'll check back in when I do it.

I’d certainly be interested if I knew where it is. 1988 is a tough year because no home-and-away games were ever retained.

Greetings All!

Apologies for the lack of new Fitzroy videos from me in recent times.

Had a couple of "enforced holidays" from YouTube courtesy of the National Socialist Film and $ound Archive. Apparently bringing a wider audience to historic archival footage that is only available on obscure, low quality VHS tapes is a no-no. Even if the source is fully acknowledged and the videos are non-monitized. Gee golly jeepers, what was I thinking??:confused::confused:

Anyway, lesson learned. I certainly hope those videos don't get re-uploaded to a new, disposable YouTube account. Because that would be naughty.

Now that I've paid my debt to society, I'm free to unleash these upon you all.

(Edit: The quick and the dead around here! Again I didn't realise that the game below had already been uploaded to YouTube. I'll link it here with apologies to John Carr. This is the commercial free, 720p HD version.)

...And last but not least, the video I've received more requests for than any other, complete with custom made YouTube icon.

Richmond Tigers vs Fitzroy Lions - Round 21 - 1996 - Fitzroy's Last AFL Game In Victoria

Have at it, gang. KeepVid seems a bit dodgy these days so try Clip Converter or Save From.

I've got another half dozen Fitzroy games to upload as time permits, plus selected scenes from Jack Irish.

For now, enjoy! :thumbsu:

This account has put together a series of clips from the 80's, many including fitzroy.

Enjoy.

Thanks for that.

My main focus is Carlton stuff, but whenever I see the opportunity to show something Fitzroy that is unique I'll put it up. Important to preserve the history of the VFL.

One of my latest uploads, just a bit of vision of the Fitzroy cheersquad. Might not seem like much but it is a little slice of history.

I have a truckload of video and it will be keeping me busy for years to come. I'll remember this forum and post Fitzroy stuff when appropriate.
