Price loves HNIC. As do I. Best thing to ever happen to me when I was in Whistler waiting to go out, Sportsnet + CBC on the TV. Only problem was it was Sportsnet Pacific so I didn't get all the games.
Pretty sure Tanev, Higgins and Hamhuis all just doubled their entire PP totals for the year. poor dallas

Not sure if that was talking up ekblad or agreeing with Brades about Klingberg not being with him as the best rookie defenseman in the NHL.

Klingberg the best first year defenseman in the NHL.

You have to be able to play defence first. Klingberg is a traffic cone on defence. Sure he can score.. but so can Brent Burns but that doesn't mean he's a good defenceman.
Not the latter. That rarely happens.
That's your unbiased opinion of a player who has played 15 less games than the other?

Probably biased..but he has 4 more pts and 2 more goals despite 15 less games...
Is a .65 ppg compared to .48..
And on the defensive side klingberg is the only dallas defenseman who isnt a minus.. (+6) ekblad (who I rate very highly) is on a more defensively Sound and focused team in florida..so for them to have similar +- Shows they are closer than people say defensively.

Just calling out there is another kid playing on the sunbelt who isnt getting any wraps, who is playing as good as ekblad.
Bradesmaen calling him a #5 is just ridiculous, but wouldnt expect any less.
Struggling to find a reason why Klingbergs rookie season isnt seen as good as Ekblads among D men..

But the thing is, he's getting praise for his offensive ability. The reason he isn't getting Ekblad praise is because he is a traffic cone defensively. He is a #5 and PP specialist at this point in his career because he needs to be hidden in soft minutes. Your blind bias is quite obviously clouding your judgement on him. He has nothing on Ekblad defensively and he's playing on a better offensive side (pass to Seguin and get a point) than Ekblad.

1) IM guessing you didnt see how Dallas won in overtime today. You dont get soft minutes playing in overtime when your team needs ROW wins. He also has 21 of 38 pts on the road.
2) Klingberg has 28 of his 38 pts even strength.
3) Klingberg and Ekblad BOTH have 10 PP points..pp speciliast?..hahaha
4) Eklbads Time on ice a game is 22 min 2 sec, Klinbgerg is 21 min 49...looks pretty identical to me, so not sure how you can hide in soft minutes when you log 20+ a night. ( Klingberg also gets 1 more shift a game than Ekblad).
ok, So..here we go. If someone here who name me a defenseman (rookie or veteran) who averages 21 min a night, is + in any form, and has PPG number above .5 ( I wont even use .65 which is Klingbergs pace) and is a bottom pairing D man..ill concede.

Lets look at that awesome defensive play on the Eberle goal last night. Or his inability to win a battle on the boards on the second goal agianst Teddy Purcell. That was just last night.

2) And? You keep telling me he is a PP speciliast, so how can a person who has 1 less even strength point than shea freakin weber..and is 13th in the league overall in even strength points among DMEN, be just a PP specialist..
3) And? If Klingberg is a PP specialist and Ekblad isnt, why do they have the same PP points?
4) And The play identical mintues and have close to identical stats, how is one ahead of another?

Dont disagree with the age thing..doing what Ekblad is doing as an 18 year old is massive.
If Klingberg had played 15 more games though, he could be nudging 50 pts...pretty good for a rookie D man
