Brisbane has come out and said that Jack Redden wants out of the club. http://www.afl.com.au/news/2015-09-01/redden-wants-out-lions-midfielder-requests-trade

Jack would be 25 in December. I don't know a lot about him but I do know that he is held in high regard at Brisbane. I do know that he is a South Australian and was recruited from Glenelg.

The question is would the AFC be interested in him. We all talk about home grown players and Jack did come out of the Glenelg footy club.

I believe that Jack is held in high regard. He's a mid who can get his own ball plus he is fast. Wasn't he part of the "R's". Rich, Redden, Rockliff.

Given he wants out there is a chance he may not cost the world. Before you talk about price it needs to be decided if he would be a good fit....would he improve our list.
 
You have to feel for Bears supporters their club is getting decimated. I wonder what the problem is?

Yes, Yes, Yes, Yes, Yes and hell yes.
 
He is a consistent performer in a side that has been seriously average for a long time. In a good side I think he would reach new heights. Can you imagine what he could be like surrounded by players like Sloane, Crouch Brothers, (Danger Hopefully), Betts, Cameron, Walker, Thompson. I think its a no brainer. II wouldnt hesitate in giving Brisbane our second rounder for him. It will be a pick around 30 in a shallow draft.

Exactly. We have greater needs to fill than what Redden offers imo. And he hasn't specifically named a club so it'll be a bidding war amongst a lot of clubs crying out for talented midfielders. The only reason we should seriously consider it is if Dangerfield leaves and we've got decent compensation.
