Have a Neato one - that's a brand not a description although it is pretty neato so I guess it is a description actually. Has a "laser" that maps the room before cleaning. Does a great job and doesn't miss anything. I don't think they sell them in Australia though which is poxy as the Roomba ones are pretty crap.

We've got a Neato too. At first thought it was a novelty gimmick, but it works a bloody treat. Can get them from a few stores here; just far more expensive than the U.S. Unf.

Mum's got two golden retrievers, they're used to the robot vacuum now and just sit on the couch and glare at it.

I don't but I a friend of mine does. She has a huge house and says it's awesome to just leave it on during the day and not have to worry about vacuuming.

Yeah, my parents had one of those in their pool. Worked great.

There's robot lawnmowers too but I just can't imagine them being any good.

Going to buy the Miele robot vacuum cleaner next year when i move house. Will get one for upstairs and a 2nd for downstairs.
