Is it just me or does Hartley look like a Hooker clone? Loving the fantasy...
I think we have a really solid 30 like Eth says... So anyone struggling should have a ready replacement.
Loving Bird at half forward... I think we really need a genuine hard nut who impacts the game consistently like he does. Offsets the likely selection of Cooney as long his legs hold up.
Laverde selection is pure guess work. Could just as easily say Langford, Dempsey, Fantasia, J Merrett or Parish. Just need one or two of them to really shine this year and things could start to get interesting.
Gleeson still has work to do especially with more selection pressure coming his way.
Forward synergy people... That's what 2016 needs to be about!

It's pretty good, although I would argue that Gwilt's spot is up for grabs from a number of players.

Also Hocking is easily best 22, we saw how much impact he had when he came back late last year.

* Bellchambers - I was as over him as everyone last year. But has showed he can be decent in the past. I think FWD with some ruck time suits him and the team (especially Daniher). If he doesn't play well, Mitch Brown to take that spot and McKernan used as 2nd ruck.
* Laverde spot could easily be J Merrett, Edwards or Fantasia.

I think only two of Luenberger, Bellchambers and McKernan should be in team. Currently I favour McKernan over Bellchambers on recent form. We only need one number one ruckman and one 2nd ruckman. If a third tall is to play forward it should be brown.

Goddard isn't a good defender anymore - needs to play unaccountable midfield or forward position.

Francis can play the 3rd defender without us losing much pace.

Yeah now list is final I like Callum Twomey's 22. Though I dont think Bellchambers will start, McKernan has to get the nod in front of him and hopefully can hold down CHF and if not mark at least bring the ball to ground where the zippy Z.Merrett & Colyer can hopefully capitalise with goals. Not sure where Goddard plays but he might be best playing out of a pocket and rotating with Jobe. We need their class up forward.
Laverde very important as well hopefully he can have a big year. If forward line not clicking may need to bring in Brown or Hartley and play Hooker forward. Lots of spots up for grabs which is a good thing and plenty of depth - Dempsey, Cooney, Bellchambers, Edwards, Howlett, Langford etc etc

Gleeson I think will be put back in the oven to cook for a little longer. Parish probably gets 6 weeks in the 2s to get used to senior footy and Howlett's just not as versatile as Bird.

Highly doubt 2 ruckmen sticks for any period of time

I like this team a lot. I also think that if Cooney is fit and in form he'll play where Langford is a bit. I agree that only one of Luenberger or Bellchambers works. I would like to see Daniher pushing up a bit to avoid the wrestle for a year or two. However, I'm happy for him to do that from FF with McKernan also playing deep to draw another man.

I'd also like to see Laverde push up from half forward while play is flowing and Watson to float a kick in front of play like a CHF, but to swap back at a stoppage. I like Goddard pushing up from half forward demanding the ball. I like him giving leadership to Laverde and occasionally swapping with Francis.

Because Sydney off loaded some salary cap so liked the deal. It meant that we kept both our 2nd round picks (sort of) and got pick 5.
