As a "local" club member for the passed few years, I feel you cant help but develop closer ties with the club and its players through regular face to face interaction at games/family days/open training and constantly running into players at Robina Town Centre much to my wife's delight...
I have to agree with Sandy, killing a reasonable conversation with mod threats is a bit tough. Sunny you must understand that supporters such as Sandy, Iva and myself have spent big $$$ purchasing family memberships each year to support the club on game days, we are the few supporters that...
I think it is a damn shame next Friday nights NAB granny isn't going to be played at Metricon, with the Gabba out of action due to cricket. Would have been a good money/publicity spinner for the Suns and allowed more Lions supporters to travel to the game, as the Crows hosted last years GF.
Isn't a full fwds roll to kick goals.
Unfortunately with our dysfunctional fwd line, it places so much extra pressure on our midfield to kick goals for us to be competitive.
Really starting to lose faith in Sammy Day. I know the kid has the potential to be a gun fwd, but by crikey he needs to start showing more. 3 hand balls on the weekend when he had the opportunity with no Lynch or Dixon to grab the game by the balls and prove his worth. Something Stevey May...
I agree that was a shocking decision by Brennan Tigernova. We had an open fwd line and yet he kicked to a contested player on the wing. It was one of his usual brain fades, but luckily it was only 1 negative on a pretty decent night for him.
Just got home from the game. Disappointing crowd, especially for game 3 once a lot of the Hawks supporters had left. Atmosphere really lacked.
On a positive, the young guys really showed some promise. Jaeger & Jessie to have big years, definite fantasy footy cash cows.
Not sure why Browny got...
You can take the boy out of Mandurah, but you can't take the Mandurah out of the boy. Will surely receive a club imposed suspension aka Danny Stanley, etc for breaking team rules, 2 NAB Cup matches maybe?
That's my understanding mate, they decided to pick up Sumner with our last senior spot, so will have to pass on our pick #2 in the PSD. Rookie draft picks only.
Was reading in the weekend Bully that 2013 will be the last of the Suns v Tigers games in Cairns. The 3yr contract is up and Tigers apparently not keen to renew even though they earn $500k for each game played in FNQ.
Young teams can win premierships but it is rare. Some of us will remember the baby bombers defying the odds to win the 93 cup. Their young players played with the confidence & maturity beyond their experience. It was Sheedy at his finest. But it doesn't happen often and from memory the Dons...
For me Dean Towers at the Swans #22 was a big suprise. Thelad looks great but a 1st Rd selection was interesting. Really look forward to watching him next season. Future first-year premiership player?

Recent article on Tim Sumner.
Still a little bewildered we picked up a medium size forward, something we have a plethora of, but that's why Clayton gets paid the big dollars I guess.
If Tape can develop the offensive side to his game, and become a more aggressive running 3rd tall instead of just a shutdown player, then Corr may not be the type of player we need? We already have Thompson & Schade as our FB/CHB in training. Really would rather recruit the best midfielder...
Jack Anthony delisted by Freo even though he had a year to run on his contract. They certainly are clearing out some cap space.
Worth a rookie spot to try and re-work/revive his full forward career? Could provide depth for our list at a cheap price for 12-months. Probably will be taken in the...
As far as I know, you can't rookie list players until the rookie draft, which is held immediately after the PSD. As we most likely won't have a senior list spot available to use at #2 PSD, we will just pass.
We then continue with pick #2 in the rookie draft, until we have drafted how ever many...

WA's Shane Nelson seems like the type of guy the Suns would approach for a rookie spot if he falls through to the PSD. Seems to be a diamond in the rough type of guy, with age and speed on his side, might be the type of player Clayton...
So many "what ifs" surrounding Simpson, just doesn't seem
necessary we take the extra risk? Would rather take a guy like Lonergan, old fashioned hard nut midfielder. Sure he tested in the bottom 50% in running, but we have so much speed as it is, and these speedsters are ineffective if we can't...
Not talking about the picks guys, just the ability to senior list PSD #2. As we are most likely using #57 in the ND, PSD #2 becomes a worthless pick as far as Tippett is concerned. Only rookie spots available.
