No Oppo Supporters General AFL discussion and other club news

Its because there tends to be a Prelim Finalist that drops off drastically (from even making Finals) in the following season. Was interesting in 2023 that both Grand Finalists dropped off into being average teams. Swans should bounce back as everyone predicts. I just want to see some improvement...

List Mgmt. 2019 AFL National Draft Thread

Rivers went to the Dees at 32 and Jamieson just now at 49 to Eagles. Jeka still there though

List Mgmt. 2019 AFL National Draft Thread

2020 draft must be awful if Suns are giving pick 11 to the Cats for Jeremy Sharp at 27 in 2019.

All of the Dingley development issues can be solved by Jeff if he just reconciles with Ted Baillieu ;)

    List Mgmt. Contract Status

Hawthorn Football Club have announced the first changes to its list with Kaiden Brand, Teia Miles, David Mirra and Darren Minchington all informed they will not be offered contracts for the 2020 season A bit shocked about Brand but he and Miles should get another gig. Brand not contracted in...

No Oppo Supporters 2019 Trade and FA period - Incoming Targets news discussion - read the rules in OP

Starting on Thursday 17th, there's a 37 day period where draft picks can be traded. More excitement to look forward too

But after all the Academy bidding in the compromised draft next year, it will end up like pick 107 :)

Injuries will do that to a player. He's young and has shown some talent. Key is when a player wants to come to Hawthorn, that passion should drive them to the next level. Get him in for a Rnd 5 future pick :)

No Oppo Supporters 2019 Trade and FA period - Incoming Targets news discussion - read the rules in OP

That's true BUT we are giving the Dees a R2 pick worth anything from 948 to 502 points and only receiving 19 to 207 back. I was so excited by the trade until I saw that future 2nd round pick leaving us part.

Thinking that 42 will be used to get Patton. Don't worry, Finn is coming but I think it will take pick 11 to get him home. How many points overall was this trade in draft picks? I'm a little worried about trading out our Round 2 next year. We got screwed points-wise by the Saints when we...

Mod. Notice 2018 finals ticketing - update (10/9): semi-final member tix on sale now (AFL members tomorrow)

Mod. Notice 2015 GF Ticketing; please don't post telephone numbers - use the PM system

My only justification for spending more $$$$ is that fact we thrashed $wan$ when I had the more expensive seat in 2014. '12 I was standing, '13 was restricted view, and '14 was Q deck back seat. Very similar seat to last year for this Granny so you can all thank me later when we thrash the Eagles;)

Mod. Notice 2015 GF Ticketing; please don't post telephone numbers - use the PM system

Had restricted view in 2013. There was the barrier between sections in front and that was it. For $150/$128 vs $350/$263 i'd take the restricted view.

Mod. Notice 2015 GF Ticketing; please don't post telephone numbers - use the PM system

Any AFL Silver Hawks members out there know what was on sale this morning. I just went for "best avaliable" and got the Q19 back seat like last year. Would be upset if restricted view was avaliable.

Review Round 15: Werribee Tigers v Box Hill Hawks, 26 July 2015, 2.00pm @ Avalon Airport Oval

Yes 2 the first 2 ins and outs but Shiels comes in for Jon O'Rourke Gibbo fined. Stratts and Doc a possibility but need a 100% fit and firing backline to tackle Eagles. Box Hill played with a simulated sub which was strange and possibly cost us the game. Box Hill listed Joey Fisher (#21) was...

Zac Webster - convicted in Tasmania

Without knowing the circumstances surrounding the "event" and the charges laid on young Zac Webster its very hard to understand the outcomes and punishment that Hawthorn have imposed. But I think its grossly wrong to compare this to the "alleged" incident involving Stephen Milne. Or even that of...

Mod. Notice 2014 Grand Final ticketing buy/swap/sell thread - only for Hawthorn members and supporters

Logged on at 9am last year and they had restricted view seats. This year they we're all out. I doubt they release them later.

Mod. Notice 2014 Grand Final ticketing buy/swap/sell thread - only for Hawthorn members and supporters

Got one. No angst against AFL Full Members here but there are plenty who on-sell their tickets to pay for their $600 membership. Q18 so 6 bays closer than last year but 5 rows higher Was hoping for the cheap restricted view.

In light of this new found Worldwide attention from the Yanks, Friday Night footy audiences around the world will be 10 X bigger than it will be in OZ. Preview Hawks vs Crows - changes, discussion.........

Very surprised that Bocca wasn't an IN for this game. Surely we can't still be playing Drago up forward when Normie's out for 4. Last time we played in Radelaide all 3 emergencies flew with the team and all three flew back that night as Box Hill was playing an important game the next...

    Review Round 10, 2014 - Box Hill Hawks v Williamstown - 14 June 2014, 2.00pm @ BHCO

From what I picked up about Dal whilst he was in the Development team is his ability to position himself and read the play. He was a class above everyone else. Never made mistakes under pressure. He slowly built up his game til he eventually got promoted to the senior team after a great game...

List Mgmt. 2014 Free Agency, draft and trades news and discussion **Not the trade hypotheticals thread"

Would give Nate Fyfe the hard sell on the Mighty Fighting Hawthorn Hawks. Have a feeling that Frawley will re-sign and Demons will go hard after Cameron since they have a hole at FF and Mitch Clarke's money is available.

    Preview Round 11, 2014 - Hawthorn v Demetriou's Folly, MCG, 1 June 2014, 4.40pm

OUT: McEvoy, Hartung IN: Roughy, Woodward Big Mac due to injury goes out. Hartung gets dropped like Tim O'Brien did. Hartung's got massive talent and the similarities to Brad Hill are uncanny. Hilly needed to perfect his decision making, disposal, and ability to hit targets under pressure...

    Preview Round 11, 2014 - Hawthorn v Demetriou's Folly, MCG, 1 June 2014, 4.40pm

IN: The hard sell to Lachie Witfield to come to the team he supported growing up. OUT: Soft tissue injuries. As someone said earlier, Spangher is still a week or two away. At the Richmond VFL game (May 17th) he said he was going to be out for 3 more weeks.

    Preview Round 10, 2014 - Kochie's Konundrums v Hawthorn

So I got 3 out of 4 of our ins. Didn't think Shiel's was ready but having him in is a HUGE bonus. An extra S is good. Going to make a sign that says: We got your S's: Schoenmakers Sewell Shiels Simpkin Smith Stratton and Suckling. Because Port are the only AFL team without the possessive S on...
