Agree.
Adding Barlow to the likes of Boak, Wines, Gray, Ebert, Wingard and any of the young midfielders we pick up in the draft running through the midfield and HFF/FP is definitely an upgrade on O'Shea running around at HBF.
Get rid of O'Shea and bring in Barlow ffs.
Wasn't it Barlow who tagged Gray out of the game this season just gone and also picked up 40+ possessions himself?
Ryder, Wines, Gray and Barlow starting in the middle come round 1 against the Swans would put a smile on my face.
Apart from not being able to trade out any of our fringe players (what do you do) I'm actually pretty happy with the way our trade period finished.
Four picks inside the top 31 is pretty damn good considering what we started with, even if we did trade out next years 1st round pick.
As for next...
As the old saying goes... You can't polish a turd, but you can roll it in glitter.
We've been rolling this turd in glitter for the last 2 years.
Enough is enough.
I could see this s**t after 10 or so games into the start of last season and got absolutely *in mocked for starting this thread.
Well guess what... I told you so.
Hinkley has absolutely no idea and has to go.
#Hinkleyout
I started this thread almost a year ago (before we lost to Carlton) as I could see Hinkley on a down hill slide even then.
Nothings changed, actually, we've gotten worse to be honest.
I don't care what the players say during the week, Hinkley has lost this playing group and he'll never get it...
Hence why this game would be played before our bye round.
This is absolutely HUGE for our club and the game itself.
Well done to everyone involved, well done.
Hence why I've lost faith in Hinkley REH. Lobbe was/is absolutely f**kin spent and instead of moving Westhoff to Blicavs to give him a hand, he'd rather watch Lobbe burn out against 3 opponents and let Westhoff roam back and forth doing f**k all.
Really?
He was going up against 2, sometimes 3 players around the ground all night. It may not have been his best game tonight, but...
He had 52 hit outs (only 8 short of Stanley, Blicavs and Walker combined 60) and the more tackles than any other Port player tonight.
How about Hinkley...
For whatever reason, he's lost the plot this season.
Selections, match ups, game style, structures are more than questionable this year, they're an absolute joke.
Sometimes you have to live by the old KISS rule, keep it simple stupid, not continue to try and out fox your opponent by being...
It doesn't help when he's getting double teamed and jumping against both Stanley and Blicavs.
Why the f**k Hinkley hasn't made Westhoff run with Blicavs is beyond me.
He's lost the f**kin plot.
