Watching the replays when he actually sticks the mark and lands the Essendon fans do react, same as Walkers. I think a couple of Pies fans are up the back and they dont react either...yet. Ball hasnt hit his hands yet here.
Made the point earlier today that every team in this comp at some point this season has shown something. The Hawks were no exception almost running down the Pies and being very competitive against the Cats.
We have shown zilch. Im not counting the early part of the Freo game as they outscored...
If we had relegation and we dropped on merit sure. But its a mickey mouse provincial sport where even your club got away with being rubbish for a very long time. Your flag drought is longer than ours as well.
I've got rock bottom listed as the 5th of July when we play GC at Marvel. By that point we could be looking at a sub 5k crowd, whether we like it or not our future in this competition will start coming into question.
Still dont understand how anyone thought we were near this team. They almost beat the Pies and were very competitive for large stretches against the Cats. Every team has looked competitive in at least 1 match except for us.
Have seen nothing here to suggest this wont turn into a blowout. The ease which the ball is exiting our forward 50 is staggering. We are set up like a juniors outfit.
The whole "we would have been punished" had we lost the last game against GC is a load of nonsense. We hadnt won since round 2, nobody would have batted an eye lid had we lost that game. Once we got a whiff of GC phoning it in we turned into flat track bullies and smashed them. We put more...
Still crack up at the carry on over our win against GC in the final round last year, a team that was intent on making sure they lost to us. Yet it was sold like a culture building exercise on our part.
Make no mistake we arent beating anyone by merit any time soon. Our only chance of winning a...
The Hawks led by Sicily at least have a presense down back, took a heap of intercept marks. Meanwhile we struggle to even spoil a ball over for a point.
The thing thats frightening is that our midfield was what was going to keep us competitive this season and protect our non existant backline. Now that we can throw that out the window the types of scores that loom against us are scary. I've always laughed off our crapness and thought we'd get...
If it’s all legit Carlton can definately win it. I’m convinced many of those frees paid won’t be given when they come up against the pets of the AFL in the finals (Sydney sides). I’ve seen Curnow and Mckay man handled way worse than yesterday and get nothing.
I have us at 2 wins, both will be at the back end when whoever we beat has put half their side in for surgery when they aren’t playing for anything.
The sticking point for me is that we won’t be able to contain any team down to a score that gives us a legit chance of winning.
Yeah against an opponent who had no interest in winning.
I’m not seeing much light at the end of the tunnel, we all are in agreement that we can’t win when our midfield is badly beaten. The problem is even if our midfield was to dominate 80% of a game, the 20% the opposition gets on us would...
Blues a bit unlucky that the potential premiership window has opened with the 2 Sydney sides likely to be up near the top. 75% of what’s been paid here would never be given against them.
It’s a bit of wasted umpiring effort in what’s ultimately an unloseable game. You’d rather the umps bend an opposition over in a closer match that’s at risk of being lost imo.
