Watched Macleod v Eltham today. Bit of a home game for me and despise getting fined for parking at Northcote Park.
Entertaining contest but in the end, two teams on different trajectories. Eltham on the way up with visible signs of improvement and Macleod, not enough talent or depth delaying...
Congratulations to Lower for breaking the ‘Bill Lawry Oval’ hoodoo, beating Northcote Park by 9 goals. We didn’t even need a “Prime Train”. Apparently the ‘Hitachi Silver Train’ was all it took, and much cheaper too!🤪
I’ve heard there are a few disgruntled folk down at the Borough. New Pres throwing his wait around and putting offside some former legends who have supported the club rather substantially.
Some have allegedly pulled sponsorship!
PH have always had an issue when it comes to counting. They love a bit of ‘mayo’! My tip is there was probably 2000 limbs in attendance which would equate to about 500 people, give or take.
An absolute impossibility to fit 2000 people around that joint!
I’ll leave that up to others.
Last season I was predicting PH to finish comfortably in the finals with their recruiting, however they finished 3rd last.
Sometimes it’s about more than numbers!
Clamp and Reardon both back who played regular senior football, Lewis Tsourou and a couple of others and I think they are hoping to still pick up some.
Not saying they will be a contender but will certainly improve on last year. I think around mid table will be the spot.
I wouldn’t be basing anything on last year. There has been change across the board from the top down, some of the wheels were put in motion last season and will bare fruit from now.
I’d expect a R1 senior team that may share personal, with decent change from 23 but far fitter, skilled...
Not my job to announce anything. I do know there is 7 new players training and when the time is right, the club will announce. We don’t all suffer from an insecurity complex!
Still playing and bowling in cricket! As far as I know the Knights players are full time and have had a number of new players training that haven’t been named yet.
First 2 sessions have had 42 and 47 training, which is about twice as many as last season. Far better quality as well!
