Most of those leaving simply aren't up to playing Premier Division. It's all about the quality of signings, not the numbers on the track. Might not win many but will make life tough for a few teams and with a bit of luck could stay up.
Translated simply: Yes, there will be some players leave, but generally those players aren't up to the standard required to play premier division. Many of them if they did stay, would be playing seconds anyway.
For Northern Saints to be competitive they need to maintain the cream of the...
Great win by Northern Saints in what was one if the toughest games of local footy you're ever likely to see. Both sides were dedicated and uncompromising but in the end the Saints class and discipline got them over the line.
Fantastic to see so many faces from the past, from both North...
He might kick 2 per game but how many would he cost them as his opponent runs off him with ease? Not in shape and is doing the right thing sitting out.
They have failed to really embrace the growth of the community in my opinion. People that have moved there from other Northern Suburbs have remained at their old clubs in their old suburbs. I would imagine a second club in town wouldn't make the same mistakes and would probably force Craigieburn...
Well said. We have plenty of players that are great when we have the footy, Melksham is fantastic when we don't have it. Great pressure, physical presence and intensity. Lets not forget he is only 21 and Hirdy and co must see plenty in him
Because he gets picked week in week out.
I guess they looked at the evidence and made a decision those crazy guys... If they're not guilty, they're not guilty. As for the 6 week penalty, you win some you lose some at the tribunal in terms of suspension length. Unless your own club is completely clean then you have little right to comment.
Would have looked great with thinner stripes and the logo on the front, but a decent job overall. Amazing effort securing a major sponsor for 5 years though.
I've been critical of the $ in local footy in the past, but it's a fact of life. Don't like it, go play/watch ammos. One thing it does do is break the monotony of the same 2-3 clubs winning the flag each year. Fact is all these bloke would command decent coin wherever they went.
I don't know...
Contract won't be hard to get out of, especially when you're talking about an ex-afl player wanting to play A Grade. Brooks will decide between Hoppers (big $) and Paco, where he IS doing a pre-season.
Huge call. Bigger, stronger clubs have struggled to rebound straight back up. Brooks has a huge offer in front of him from WRFL and is training elsewhere, can't see him staying and playing B Grade. Baker has signed at Marby too? It won't be a walk in the park.
Are you a serious football league EDFL? The 11 weeks handed out for what plenty of well respected edfl people described as "the worst act I've seen on a footy field" is a dead set joke.
When major incidents occur the saying is "judge the players club on their reaction", now it's your turn. I say...
Must have been the week for it. A Taylor's lakes reserves player dished one out then carried on like an absolute tool. Must have felt brave belting the smallest bloke out there.
I haven't always been the biggest fan of a third division but with the money being thrown these days it has become necessary. We can all go on about young players being poached etc but a third division I think, will mean there is a comp
Where blokes that play for the live of the game can...
